Today’s Labor Day for anyone living in the US.  That means you don’t have to do anything but sit around and have fun.  At least, that’s the case for a lot of people.

And that’s the case for me!

Since I was feeling kind of lazy, I decided not to do too heavy of a look today.  Check it out:

My shirt (Pirate of the Caribbean) has some gold/bronze in it.  So, I did a swipe of gold eye shadow across my top lid.  Then I just used mascara.  That’s it for eyes.  No eye liner.

Instead, I chose to make my look special with blush and lipstick.  Bright red lips!

As you can see, you can turn a ho-hum look into something special if you do a bright red lip.

Here’s a close-up (that didn’t really turn out too well):

Yeah, blurry.  I think my camera had a hard time with it because the lips are just so darn shiny and shimmery.

I used:

• Luzier Lipstick in Merry Cherry
• Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Lip Gloss in Lemon Splash

I used the lip stick first.  Then I thought it needed some shine, so I added the Cover Girl lip gloss on top.

Turned out pretty good!

Of all of the red lipstick I’ve tried, this one worked best for me.
