Makeup Files

I’ve decided to start a new series here on Makeup Files.  Similar to the Tutorial Tuesdays, you’ll be seeing a neat makeup look on a regular basis.

The big difference is that the Face of the Day will have the look and what products I used without a step by step tutorial.  I won’t be doing this every day, but it’ll be pretty often.

Here’s how I look today, 10/15/2008.  I chose a yellow and orange color scheme to complement the blue top I was wearing:

And here’s what I used:

Eyes:

• Cupcake Cult Eye Shadow in Red, lower lid.
• MAC Eye Shadow in Orange, middle of eyelid
• MAC Eye Shadow in Chrome Yellow, upper and lower lid
• L’Oreal HiP Metallic Eye Shadow in Gilded, gold color on middle of eyelid
• L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Carbon Black, on lower lid/water line only
• Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara in Glam Black, upper and lower lashes

Lips:

• Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Limited Edition Passion Punch

What do you think?  I think it turned out okay, but definitely not my best performance.  It just felt like one of those days to switch up the way I normally do my makeup.
