Makeup Files

Karen over at Makeup and Beauty Blog did a post recently with all sorts of video tutorials of how to do smokey eye makeup.  I have to admit, I’m not the best at it.  I’m trying, though!

So, that’s the point of my look for today.  I’m calling it Plum Smokey Eye for obvious reasons.  Of the tutorials at Makeup and Beauty Blog, I used the first one by MAC Pro Makeup Artist, Chantel Miller.

Here’s what I came up with:

Turned out pretty well!  At first, I didn’t like it much.  It could be smokier, but I think I was scared to go that extra mile.  What do you think?

Here’s some products I used to create today’s look:

Eyes:

I honestly can’t remember what I used.  I seemed to use the full gambit of my makeup supply.  Notably, I did use MAC Eye Shadow in Shadowy Lady for the real smoky plum colors at the outside and inside corner of my eyes.  I also used:

• L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Black, around the entire rim of my eye, top and bottom.
• Luzier Mascara in Burgundy, top and bottom lashes.

Lips:

• MAC Lustreglass in Ornamental.
