Where Do You Get Your Makeup Inspiration?
Most of us learned how to do our makeup from someone or something else. Our moms showed us techniques, or we learned a thing or two from a beauty magazine. Now that most of us are adults, and media has changed (hello, internet), how has this affected how you learn new techniques?

Blogs
I spend a certain portion of my day, every day, going to beauty blogs. While there are tons of great ones out there, for true makeup inspiration, Temptalia is one of the best. Christine puts up daily looks that rival the competition, and she also has tutorials sometimes.
The Beauty Bunny is another great blog. They’re good for the kinds of beauty tips that you don’t generally learn on your own.
Website Forums
Forums are a great place for like-minded folk to share their ideas and tutorials. Temptalia’s forum is great for this and there’s a nice community. Specktra.Net also has an amazing forum. You’ll find the best tutorials there.
YouTube and VideoJug Videos
Some makeup techniques can only be learned by actually seeing it get done. That’s where YouTube and VideoJug come in.

Honestly, pure self experimentation.
I figured out the vast majority of my tricks and favorite techniques over the years trying hundreds of prodcuts in hundreds of ways.
There’s no better guinea pig than me, and boy does my skin show it.

Yeah, I do that too. Experimentation is really important if you want to learn cool tricks. It’s good to get outside the box.

Experimentation is great, but it’s easy to use all the great resources available to get inspiration!
