Beauty Review: L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo
I have a confession to make: I have damaged hair. I didn’t always. My hair used to be fine. Now, for some reason, my bangs are falling apart. The hair is actually breaking off.
To remedy the situation, I decided to try L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo. It says right on the bottle:
medium to long hair that’s damaged
That’s me! I admit it.
You can pick up this product at drug stores and other places that sell shampoo. Prices vary, but you can usually find it for around $4.00 a bottle.
Check out how this shampoo stacked up:
How does it smell?
L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo smells good. To me it does, at least. It kind of smells like a mixture of both fruity and flowery scents. It smells like my childhood for reasons that I can’t figure out.
Regardless, it smells good. It’s not too perfume-y and it doesn’t bother my oh-so-sensitive skin.
Does it really make your hair shine?
The bright pink bottle says right on the front:
mirror shine, cashmere touch
I’d say they’re right about that. You can tell even in the shower that this will have softening effects. It feels more like a shampoo/conditioner combo, than just a shampoo.
My hair was a bit shinier and a bit softer when all was said and done. There was a difference, but it wasn’t too monumental. I didn’t think, “Wow! My hair is so soft and shiny!” It did what it said it would do, although not in any big way.
Did it fix your damaged hair?
Honestly, I really can’t tell. I think my bangs might just be beyond repair. I mean, no shampoo can put back hair that had broken off. That”s just impossible. But my hair DID seem healthier.
I think if I cut off the damaged parts, this damage probably won’t happen again once I start using more of the L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo.
Does this shampoo leave any residue?
Some shampoos leave you feeling like you need to wash your hair all over again. They leave this icky film over your hair. Yuck!
Luckily, that’s not the case with this shampoo. It washed right out, taking away any grime that may have been in my hair in the first place. Once I’m done, my hair feels very clean.
The Final Verdict
I liked this shampoo. I think my favorite part was the smell. It really does smell nice. As for the promises it makes, the results aren’t too obvious. My hair was a bit shinier and softer, and it seemed a bit healthier. I give L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo a final grade of:
B+
Have you used this shampoo? What did you think? Did it fix your damaged hair? Did it leave you softer and shinier?
