Again with the damaged hair. I have it. My bangs are a nightmare. I think I had my flat iron cranked up too hot.
In my quest to finally stop the damage, I tried L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Shampoo last week. This week, I’m trying its conditioner counterpart: L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner.
You can find this product anywhere that sells L’Oreal hair care products, including online and in drug stores. While prices vary, it averages around $4.00 per bottle.
Since the shampoo got a B+, you would automatically think that the conditioner would get a similar grade. Let’s find out:
How does it smell?
Fragrance is always a big deal with conditioner. It’s usually the last thing you put in your hair, so it has the most impact on how you’ll smell for the rest of the day.
Luckily, L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner smells good. It sort of smells like a slightly citrusy perfume. The best thing about it is that it lasts. With some hair products, once you wash it out you can’t smell it anymore. This is different. It has a strong smell for the rest of the day.
Because the scent stays strong, I’d suggest smelling it before buying it, and only get it if you like how it smells.
Does it fix damaged hair?
It doesn’t seem to. I mean, my hair looked a tiny bit healthier after the fact, but only barely. And anyway, I think it’s impossible for a product to fix truly damaged hair. Instead, it should be able to prevent future damage. I didn’t get that impression from this.
How well does it condition your hair?
Now, this is only a regular conditioner. It’s not a deep conditioner or leave in treatment or anything. That being said, it still didn’t work well enough for a regular conditioner. It was fine, but I’ve tried a lot of conditioners that were better than this.
Still, if you’re the type to condition your hair every day, then this will work well. It doesn’t leave an icky residue and it washes away clean. It also does an alright job when it comes to conditioning your hair.
The Final Verdict
For this L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner review, I’m taking into account the great scent, the questionable damage control, and the okay conditioning. With all of these factors in mind, I give it a:
C
It’s not bad, but it’s not exceptional, either.
Have you tried it? Am I totally off base?

Thanks for the review Trisha. The rating and your review helps me save money and being disappointed with the results. Keep the reviews coming.

Thanks, Edith. It really does help to know what other people think about hair products. The only think you can really do when you’re in a store is do a sniff test, and that doesn’t tell you anything at all about how well it will work.
