Some of the reviews I’ve done for L’Oreal hair products have been lackluster, especially when it comes to conditioner.  I thought L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Color Vive Conditioning Treatment was okay and L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioner was not that great.

You would think then, that my new product, L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioning Treatment, a deep conditioner, would also not be so good.

Hey now, don’t be so quick with the assumptions!

How does it smell?

This is always the first question I ask.  After all, this is important.  While other L’Oreal hair care products have a very noticeable fragrance, this deep conditioner did not.  It was barely noticeable.  It’s faint, but it kind of smells like conditioner you get when you dye your hair at home.

Know what I mean?  Kind of chemical-y, kind of perfume-y.  It’s not bad, though.

How well does it condition?

Holy cow.  That’s all I have to say.  Geez Louise.  This is the best conditioner I’ve ever used.  I couldn’t stop touching my hair all day.  Here’s the promises it makes:

adds shine & strengthens medium to long hair that’s damaged

Alright, shine.  Yes, it was shinier.  Yes, it was healthier.  Strengthens?  Sure.  I think it did everything it set out to do.

But the BEST thing about L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioning Treatment is how soft it makes my hair feel.  All day, so soft.

Would you use it again?

Heck yes!  This is my new favorite conditioner, forever.  If I could marry it I would.  I just wish it had a better/more noticeable fragrance.

The Final Verdict

While I am yearning to give it a perfect score, scent is important.  It’s the only area that didn’t measure up for this.  If they could take the scent from the L’Oreal Color Vive Conditioning Treatment and put it into this, I would be set.  It would get an A+.  Instead, the grade for L’Oreal Paris Vive Pro Nutri Gloss Conditioning Treatment is:
