Face of the Day – 1/27/09 – Success?
Today, I thought I would try something different. In the end, I don’t think it turned out all that well, but it was worth a shot. You can learn a lot just by trying, ya know? Check it out:
Here’s what I used to get this look:
Eyes:
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box in Shattered, a light blue metallic shadow. This is on the outer half of the eyelid.
- L’Oreal HiP Shocking Shadow Pigments in Fiery. This is a loose pigment pot in a nice metallic pink. I used this on the inside half of my eyelid.
- L’Oreal HiP Kohl Eyeliner in Gold Kohl. This is a loose gold metallic eyeliner. I used it to line the top lash line.
- Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black on the top and bottom lashes.
Lips:
- Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers Lip Gloss in Raspberry Splash. That’s it!

That gives you a better idea of how it all turned out. I think my idea was good, it just didn’t get implemented all too well. I blame it on the implementation, and not necessarily the products. Those worked out alright.
(And it looks like someone needs to tweeze…)
