Fix Makeup Mistakes with L’Oreal Paris Clean Artiste Makeup Corrector Pen
You may remember a reader question I answered a while back about how to fix makeup mistakes. Since then, I have found a little makeup wand to magic away any mistakes.
It’s called the L’Oreal Paris Clean Artiste Makeup Corrector Pen. It looks like a felt tip marker, except it takes away color instead of the other way around. You can find it at drug stores, mass-market retailers and online for around $10.95.
Here, I’m going to show you how to fix mistakes with this pen.

Awww, look at how sad I am. I smeared mascara on my face. Will the sadness never end?
Pop off the cap on your makeup corrector pen. The tip should be sufficiently moist. Rub it over the messed up makeup. It won’t take much effort.
If there’s a bit of color left over, just rub it away with a facial tissue.
Since the pen has a fairly narrow tip, you can use it to take care of very precise makeup mistakes as well.
Once you’re done using it, make sure to wipe off the tip with a tissue. This will take off any excess makeup so that it’s still good next time you use it.
There, now my face is all clean and I’m happy again.
The Clean Artiste Makeup Corrector Pen really is that easy to use. Just make sure the cap is on tight when you’re not using it. If the pen dries out, it’ll become useless.
You’ll also want to wait until your face dries before you start putting on makeup again.
Not just for mascara mistakes, the pen can also be used for:
- Eye shadow that’s gone beyond the borders.
- An eyeliner that has far too long a wing tip.
- Lip stick that’s gone beyond your lip line.
- Overzealous concealer.
- And more.
