Have you ever had trouble finding a lip liner to match your lipstick? Or how about a lip gloss that complements both the liner and the lip stick?

This happens a lot. Its like finding shoes to match a new dress you bought. It can take forever.

Avon created a lip product that’s supposed to solve these problems (save for the dress/shoes issue). They have come out with the Avon Pro 3-in-1 Lip Wand, which has come out just this month, July, 2009. In fact, it’s so new that they don’t even have it on the Avon website yet! Keep looking. It’ll probably be there soon.

I got to try the #E502 Bronze shade.

How does it work?

The real special thing about the Pro 3-in-1 Lip Wand is that it comes with everything you need: lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss. All in one.

See! They were able to fit all three things into one package. The lip liner is in pencil form, so it does require sharpening after regular use.

Since they stuck everything into one package, each aspect is small. It’s sort of like trial size versions of each lip essential. The perk is that they are all in one package and all in the same or similar color.

Keep in mind: The wand is long, even when put back together. It measures 6.25 inches, which is much longer than anything you likely have in your makeup kit. It may not fit into smaller makeup bags that fit into your purse.

How does it look?

Sure, it’s nice that it has the liner, stick and gloss, but that doesn’t matter at all if the end product looks bad. Here, judge for yourself:

Pretty good! With the combination of all three lip products, the end result is a very pure color. It moisturized well, especially with the lip gloss added on last.

Since I was able to use a good lip liner over the entire lip area as the first step, the lipstick stayed on longer than it would without liner. It lasted most of the day if I avoided putting my lips on things.

The Final Verdict

Frankly, I love the novelty of this product. Sure, the wand is super long, but it comes with everything I needed. Unfortunately, it’s not going to last as long as a regular lipstick because everything is a smaller size. Still, I’m a fan of this. All three products were of good quality. I give the Avon Pro 3-in-1 Lip Wand a final grade of:
