Face of the Day 10-14-2009 Wet Eye Shadow
I don’t know about where you live, but here in Montana, it’s pretty much winter already. Winter! Why have you forsaken me?
Some eye shadows say that they can be used wet or dry. Most of us only use it dry. I decided to try out a recent makeup tutorial, Bejeweled with Stila Charmed Palette, but wet instead of dry.
Here’s how it turned out:
Eye shadow doesn’t blend as well when applied wet. Or maybe I’m just not used to working with it this way.
Here’s a better view of the shadow:
It looks awfully similar to the original, though a bit brighter and more vibrant.
Here’s what I used to achieve today’s look:
Eyes:
- Stila Charmed Eye Shadow Palette using all four colors.
- Maybelline Define-A-Line eyeliner in soft black on just the waterline of the lower lid.
- Maybelline the Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara in glam black on the top and bottom lashes.
Lips:
- Prestige Lipstick in CL-42A Rosewood.
Face:
- L’Oreal True Match Blendable Makeup in Honey Beige around my eyes.
- Luzier Translucent Powder all over my face, setting the foundation.
