Face of the Day 01-02-2010 Soft, Subtle and Sick
I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new decade than to have a hardcore cold.
Oh wait, I can think of lots of better ways, actually.
But unfortunately, I’m sick. I got the cold on Christmas and I’ve yet to get better. It’s pretty rare that I get a cold, so it’s sort of like a special occasion.
Specially awful.
Alas, I still had to walk around as a functioning adult today despite my stuffed up nose and horrendous cough. And you know what that means: Makeup!
I decided to go with a subtle, smoky, soft look. At least it’s subtle for me. Check it out:

Face:
- RAW Minerals Discovery Kit foundation just around my eyes and nose.
- L’Oreal Bare Naturale All-Over Mineral Glow in Rose Glow on my cheekbones and up around to my temple.
Eyes:
- MAC Eye Shadow in Shadowy Lady dusted into the crease.
- Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Moonstone on the middle part of my eyelid, below and blending into the crease.
- Revlon Diamond Lust Sheer Shadow in Champagne Buzz at the inside corner of the eye and just below the curve of my eyebrow.
- Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Soft Black on just the water line of the bottom lid.
- Cover Girl Exact Eyelights Mascara in Black Ruby on the upper and lower lashes.
Lips:
- Almay Hydracolor Lipstick in Pink Pearl.
You can barely tell I’m sick!
Here’s hoping your 2010 starts off better than mine.
