Face of the Day 01-10-2010 Fried Chicken
Today is my step brother’s birthday and we’re all headed out to a local, mom-and-pop chicken place tonight. They’re popular for their fried chicken because the chicken is fresh and local. And it’s tasty.
I always bake cakes for family members’ birthday celebrations, so I’ve been spending much of today baking and frosting. The best part is that later, I get to eat it.
In between baking, I was able to get myself prettied-up. Check out today’s look:
It’s smoky. It’s dark. I think I did a good job, but I also think it makes me look mad. What do you think?
Here’s what I used to achieve the look:
Face:
- RAW Minerals Discovery Kit foundation in the medium shade just around my eyes and nose.
- Revlon Golden Affair Sculpting Blush in #430 Rose Rapture along my cheekbones.
Eyes:
- Stila Charmed Eye Shadow Palette pink color in the crease and above.
- Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box ‘oil slick’ black color in crease and ‘sin’ beige color on lid below crease.
- Prestige Soft Blend Khol Eyeliner in Jet Black on top and bottom lids, smudged.
- Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Palette black color applied wet and used as eyeliner on top lid.
- Max Factor Volume Couture Mascara in Black Brown on top and bottom eyelashes.
Lips:
- Stila Lip Glaze in Guava.

How are you doing with your new year’s resolutions? We’re only 10 days into the new year, so if you set goals for yourself, they should still be in effect.

Turns out we went to an Irish restaurant instead, which was nice because I could celebrate my heritage in style. I had duck ravioli, and it was awesome.
