Makeup Files

I like to get inspiration from my fellow beauty bloggers. Today’s look is inspired by the bright purple and green shadow combination done by Gio over at Beautiful with Brains.

I didn’t have the same makeup as her, so I used what I had lying around. In the end, it didn’t really look like what she did, but that’s okay. Part of learning from others is figuring out your own abilities as well.

Here’s how it turned out:

I’m going to take a cue from Gio and complain about my lighting as well. Normally I do my makeup during the day so I can use the natural light from the window for pictures. Today, the sun was already going down by the time I slathered on some shadow. Drats.

I used these products for this look:

• Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box in Sin, Last Call, Mildew and Polyester Bride.
• Lancome Fatale Mascara in Black on the top and bottom lashes
• Maybelline Define-A-Line eyeliner in Soft Black in a thin line on the top lid.

I have to tell you, I am really yearning for spring and summer to come. Since I hate cold weather so much, I really should move to someplace that’s warm all year ‘round. Any suggestions?
