I was planning on doing a blue/green smoky look today. Then I realized that would make me blue from head to toe. I’m wearing a blue shirt and my nails are painted a spring-centered pastel blue. Make my eyes blue too?

Nope.

I’m not against matching. Far from it. But that would have been too much. Plus, blue is my least favorite color.

So, what’s the next best thing? Orange! Here’s today’s look:

Fiery, right? Here’s the thing: after I did this look, it made me think of McDonald’s. Particularly the color scheme.

Today’s eye shadow is completely matte, FYI. Here’s what I used to achieve today’s look.

Face:

• RAW Minerals Discovery Kit for a full-faced foundation situation.

Eyes:

• MAC Eye Shadow in Orange from the crease to just under the eyebrow and Chrome Yellow on the lid under the crease.
• Cupcake Cult Eye Shadow is some mysterious red color in the crease. (I bought it at Hot Topic and it doesn’t seem to sell anywhere online.)
• Icing Eye Shadow Palette white color at the inside corner of the eye blended onto the lid for about a centimeter.
• Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Palette blackest black color applied wet as an eyeliner.
• Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara in Very Black on the top and bottom lashes.

Lips:

• Avon Ultra Color Rich Extra Plump Lipstick in Pink Sunset.

I’m going to the library tonight. What a happenin’ Tuesday night! And it’s not even for school. I’m going to the library for fun. That’s how cool I am.
