Face of the Day 06-15-2010 Eye Enhancers Tropical Fusion Revisited

Two years ago, I did a review of Cover Girl Eye Enhancers Tropical Fusion eye shadow quad. I gave it a C because, unfortunately, the colors weren’t nearly as vibrant on my eyes as they were in the compact.

I just bought the Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy. It’s a gel you put on your lids before eye shadow. It makes the shadow more vibrant and look foiled. I just got it yesterday and I thought the first look I should do should use the Eye Enhancers Tropical Fusion compact. After all, if the Pixie Epoxy can make those colors pop, then it can work miracles.

So, check out the new tropical look, perfect for summer:

Mmm, bright and vibrant. One of my main problems with the quad was that the orange color faded almost immediately. Check out the close-ups:

fotd061510-02 Look at that. Bright orange. I guess the Pixie Epoxy really works. It saved the Tropical Fusion compact, but that doesn’t change the original grade. After all, I shouldn’t have to use a second product to get it too look the way it should.

The other products I used in this look:

  1. Wow, that’s so lovely! I can never use CG eyeshadow without holding grudge. I’m glad to hear the Pixie Epoxy works for you.

  2. That’s a beautiful look! I’m so glad you got the Pixie Epoxy so soon and that you like it. It’s amazing stuff, isn’t it? It can save any eyeshadow. 🙂
.-= gio´s last blog ..Looks: Sand Storm =-.

  3. Dao: Yeah, Civer Girl doesn’t have a very good reputation when it comes to their eye shadow. Luckily I made it so I can at least use it, rather than having it sit in a drawer.

Gio: It’s all thanks to you, girl. I heard about Pixie Epoxy from you after all. Thanks again!

  4. But for the quality, its a good thing covergirl is cheap, quality like that, I wouldn’t pay over $5 for it! Great for a beginner though. The look does look very fresh and young on you though!

  5. Agreed, Patricia M. At least it wasn’t one of those super expensive makeup brands. I’m probably freak out if a $40 quad had the same lackluster results. Price does indeed matter.

    And thanks for the compliment!
