Fun at the Drugstore: Super Savings!
Do you ever have the urge to go to the drugstore and splurge on awesome stuff? I do all the time. And today, I actually listened to that urge.
After all, you can often find a lot of good values there.
Off I went to Walgreen’s, in search of beauty and other fun things. And boy, did I have fun.
Check out what I got:
Here are some Wet N Wild Color Icon eye shadow singles. Get this: they only cost $1.99 each. So of course, I got four: Envy, Kitten, Lagoon and Penny.
These are actually the reason why I went to the drug store in the first place. Karen at Makeup and Beauty Blog wrote about these super inexpensive eye shadows. After reading that, I just had to get them myself.
Then I noticed that Cover Girl was on sale. Buy-One-Get-One-Half-Off.
*Cue the sound of my wallet opening.*
So I got two of the most talked about new things in Cover Girl’s lineup. I got Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain in Scarlet Pucker, normally $8.99, and Cover Girl Smoky ShadowBlast in Purple Plum, normally $8.49. I’m excited to try both of these.
But while drugstores are good for beauty prices, that’s not all they’re good for.
Walgreen’s had a $3.99 DVD bin. Yes, you read that price correctly. And most of the DVDs were actually good.
I picked up Blade Trinity. I don’t have the second one in the Blade series, but that’s fine. The second wasn’t so good.
Plus, $3.99 to look a Ryan Reynolds abs for 2 hours? Yes, please. And it’s a 2-disc special edition. Score!
I thought about getting Dreamgirls, but in the end, I decided against it.
And finally…
Candy! I love candy. Love it. I especially love novelty Twizzlers. The fact that they’re filled with a yummy sweet/sour goo makes them WAY better than the originals.
So after getting all of that…4 eye shadows, one shadow duo stick, a lip stain, a DVD and candy… my bill came to $26.68.
That’s a bargain.
Now I’m going to go play with makeup and eat some candy. Perhaps watch a movie about vampires that doesn’t involve Kristen Stewart.
Have a good day/weekend!

makeup, candy, and Ryan Reynolds… all of my favorite things! haha… great deals!! Have a great weekend too, lady!
Wow, that was a good haul. WnW eye shadows are really pigmented but they’re not so finely milled. I used to have an eye palette from them but I didn’t use it that much so I gave it away.
