Are You Celebrating No Makeup Week? Makeup-Less Monday

No Makeup Week is the talk of the Internet today. Many bloggers are vowing to wear absolutely no makeup for an entire week, from Sept. 20-27.

Are you going to celebrate No Makeup Week?

I’m not. Not in the traditional way. Most of the days this week are fine, but I’d really like to wear makeup for an event on Saturday.

BUT, I can still go makeup-less for the rest of the week. So that’s what I’ll do.

After all, while I love makeup, that doesn’t mean I don’t like myself without it.

Here’s today’s makeup-less face:

Yep. I wear glasses. Every day, all day. I just take them off for Makeup Files pictures so you can actually see my eye makeup. That’s not a problem today.

I’m going to post my makeup-less pictures every day for No Makeup Week. Why? Because I want to. :)

What about you? Will you join me and the rest of the blogging world?

To go without makeup, this includes foundation and concealer. Do you have the guts?

Scared of taking the plunge? Remember there’s other ways to girl it up. Do your hair in a cute way or throw on some dangly earrings. Makeup isn’t the only way to show your feminine side.

  1. You look beautiful without makeup.

I won’t join in the challenge though. I didn’t wear makeup for almost two months this summer because my eyes would be all red and swollen from my allergies so I feel I’ve already done my part and now it’s time for me to wear makeup again.

  2. I was unaware of “No Makeup Week” but this morning I didn’t want to put anything on my face, and I still went out in public and didn’t feel self conscious one bit. I think I’ll go sans makeup the rest of the week as well!

  3. I don’t know if I have the guts to not wear makeup to work.
But defiantly on my day off.

  4. You look great without makeup! I’m not gutsy enough to go without makeup. My acne and scarring is just too terrible.

  5. Aww. You gals are so nice. Thanks for all the compliments.

@ Gio: 2 months without makeup? Holy moly!

@ Jes: Yay! I’m glad you’re joining me in the challenge.

@ Colleen: Aww, I bet you’re braver than you give yourself credit for.

@ Marilyn: That sucks about the acne. Though maybe your skin could use a break from face makeup. It might clear up the acne a bit.
