Improving My Lips With the Mary Kay Satin Lips Set
Up until this point, I was using either facial exfoliants or a toothbrush to bring my lips back to normal. Because, as you no doubt know, it’s a good idea to exfoliate your lips.
The problem with these methods is that they weren’t really made for lips. So, I decided to try a product specific to my pucker.
How does it work?
The process is pretty simple.
- Spread the Lip Mask over your lips in a circular motion to buff off dry or peeling skin.
- Let the mask sit on your lips for a few minutes.
- Wash the Lip Mask off with a wet washcloth.
- Spread on a layer of the Lip Balm.
Yep, four steps. And you can feel the difference right away after using it.
What’s the Lip Mask like?
I was really pleased with this product. I didn’t need much of it, and it worked really well at getting rid of peeling skin and making my lips feel like new again.
As an added bonus, it’s fragrance free and didn’t give a negative reaction to my sensitive skin.
What’s the Lip Balm like?
To me, the Lip Balm wasn’t nearly as special as the Lip Mask. While I think it’s important to use a creamy balm as the last step, it’s not necessary to use this exact product.
It’s good, but you probably have something like it already.
And since Mary Kay sells each product separately, too, you may just want to pick up the Lip Mask and use a balm you already have. It’ll save you $8.50.
If you don’t have something like it, then by all means, pick this up.
The Final Verdict
Though the Lip Mask was amazing, the Lip Balm wasn’t anything that special. Still, the combination of a lip exfoliant/mask and a hydrating balm did wonders for my lips. For these reasons, I give the Mary Kay Satin Lips Set a…
You can pick up the set for $18 or each individual item for $9.50 each at the Mary Kay website or from a local Mary Kay representative.
