Last time I went to Hot Topic, I walked out with the Sour Eye Shadow Palette for just $4.99, among other things. It was a great deal seeing as all of the colorful shadows were nicely pigmented.

Then, just a few days ago—during a mini-blizzard, I might add—I went to Hot Topic again.

For those not in the know, most of the things at Hot Topic are kind of expensive. That’s why I walk straight to the clearance section in the back.

To my great fortune and happiness, they had a shade of their eye shadow palettes on sale.

I picked up the Hot Topic Hellraiser Eye Palette for…$0.98! Yes, that’s 98 cents. Here’s the proof:

The palette consists of varying shades of pink. Some are more of a purpley pink. Others hint toward orange and red. All are shimmery.

If you saw five eye shadows for less than a dollar, you’d buy it right? I did.

And, luckily for me, they are very nicely pigmented:

Nice, huh? Those are in the same order as they are in the palette, so you can get a good idea.

Mmmmm, clearance.

Why do you think they were on clearance? Personally, I suspect it’s because most people don’t think they can pull of pink eye shadow.

They also had a sparkly blue eye shadow palette on clearance, too, but I couldn’t justify the purchase. Sparkles? Huge, coarse, blue sparkles? Yeah, I would never wear that.
