Face of the Day: Snow Storms and First Drafts
Some of my fellow Americans are in a super big snow storm right now. I mean, super big. While I live in the ‘great white north,’ this blizzard hit my area a few days ago and is long gone.
Still, today’s makeup is inspired by the mounds of snow and ice covering most of the country.
Face-wise, I’ve dusted some Pixi Lumi Lux Radiance Powder over my face. I’ve also got Wet N Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmer on my lips in Berry.
Here’s a close-up of the eyes so you can delve right into the ice:
I started with the primer from the NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact. Here’s the eye shadows I used:
- Sephora Eye Shadow in Aspen Summit at the inside corner of my eye and just under my eyebrow.
- Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Sin over all the rest of my eyelid.
- Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Shattered from my crease up close to my eyebrow and around underneath the eye.
- MAC Eye Shadow in Submarine in the crease to darken it up a bit.
I have a hard time pulling off blue eye shadow, but I think it looks really good today. So icy!
On an unrelated note, I have begun the first round of rewrites and edits on the novel first draft that I completed last October.
These are my own personal edits. I don’t have a publisher yet.
Check out this stack of novel pages:
It’s a contemporary romance/women’s fiction novel. Hopefully you’ll all get to read it some day.
Have a beautiful afternoon! Even if you’re in the snow storm.
