A Change in the Urban Decay Naked Palette

Heads up!

You may remember how excited I was for the new Urban Decay Naked Palette last July. It was part of the fall 2010 collection and came with 12 different neutral eye shadows and a double-ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil.

Well, they will be taking the eye pencil out of the Naked Palette soon. Their excuse is that they can’t make the pencils fast enough.

While the change hasn’t been made yet, it should go into effect in the next few weeks.

Good news: they’re replacing the eye pencil with a very nice eye shadow brush once they get the new shipment of palettes in. Unlike other palettes that come with a brush, the Good Karma Shadow Brush is high quality and perfect for applying these shadows.

Bad news: they’re raising the price. If you wait and get the palette with the brush, it’ll cost $48. If you don’t want to pay the extra 4 bucks and want the eye pencil instead, hurry up and buy the original Naked Palette for $44 now while you still can.

I’ll give you the official news once they finally switch over their palettes to the brush instead of the pencil.

  1. It’s so nice to find a palette that comes with a great brush that is actually useful for once. It’s a shame they raised the price though. I still hope I can get my hands on one of this palette. The colors are beautiful but the last time I went to Sephora they were all sold out.

  2. I know! I almost always throw away the crappy applicators that come with eye shadow palettes. But to have a GOOD one? Well, that would just be awesome.

And it’s true. It seems they’re sold out more often than not. I guess the Naked Palette really is that good.
