Nails of the Day: Lavender Pearlescent
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve worn nail polish. My nails were splitting pretty badly, so I thought they needed a break.
Well, the break is over!
I decided to try a new polish color. I actually bought the Wet N Wild Wild Shine nail polish in Lavender Pearlescent ages ago when Wet N Wild was half off at Walgreens. Now, finally, I get to try it out.
First reaction? “Preeeeetty!”
Second reaction? “Hey, that’s not lavender.”
It’s right in the name: Lavender Pearlescent. Perhaps Wet N Wild doesn’t know what lavender is.
Lavender is a light, pastel purple. Yet, this polish is unmistakably pink. No way you could ever think this was lavender.
Weird, huh?
Despite the naming issue, I still like the color. Probably because pink is my favorite color of all time.
It went on smooth and is nice and pearlescent and pretty.
Have a good weekend! I’ll be sleeping.

I guess the people at W&W just got the colors confused when naming this polish lol. The shade is gorgeous anyway.

why don’t you shape your nails all in the same size?
Gio: Yeah, Wet N Wild really needs to learn the colors of the rainbow.
Erika: I prefer my nails to be long. If I shaped them to match the shortest nails, they’d all be far too short. So I just keep my nails the way they want to be.
It’s a great pink pearly color that’s really feminine! They say that it doesn’t really matter how expensive the nail polish is, as long as it goes well with your body chemistry and the quality of the top coat and base coat you use. Just in case you like something close to lavender but still has that pink tint, you might want to try OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender
