Nutrisystem Nation Week 2 Results

nutrisystemLogoI’ve now been on Nutrisystem for two whole weeks. (This week didn’t go nearly as slowly as the first week.)

Week two also presented my first challenge: Easter. Normally, I gorge myself on Easter. I love all of the ham and candy.

But, eating like that is what got me here in the first place. So, I went into Easter with a plan. I decided I would “eat like a skinny person.” Basically, I avoided all the bowls of candy everywhere and munched on veggies and shrimp as appetizers.

Then, at meal time, I had reasonable portions and didn’t go for seconds. I still ate my ham and green bean casserole, but I started the meal with a big salad.

All in all, I think I did a good job considering my official week 2 weigh in…

I lost 2.4 pounds this week! Adding that to my week 1 loss of 6.4 pounds, I’ve lost a total of 8.8 pounds overall. Nice!

Sure, I wanted to hit the 10 pound mark, but that’ll come soon. 2.2 pounds is still great.

Speaking of Easter…

The Easter Bunny is a yearly visitor at my mom’s house. The bunny normally brings lots of Peeps and chocolates. This year, I told my mom to tell the Easter Bunny to keep the candy out of my basket. I told her I could use some sugar-free stuff, beef jerky and nuts: all in plan with Nutrisystem.

On Easter, this is what I found:

In my Easter basket:

  • Two bags of beef jerky
  • Three bags of cashews
  • Two packs of flavor-changing gum
  • One box of egg-shaped gum
  • An orange and a banana
  • Toothpaste

Good stuff!

    • Yeah, I really wanted to eat some Peeps, I’m not gonna lie. But not only was I able to stay away, I really don’t feel like it was any big loss.

      It’s been so hard for me to drink all the water, but I’ve managed it. I really do hate water, though.
