Nutrisystem Nation Week 4 Results and Nutribear 10 Photostory

I just finished 4 weeks on Nutrisystem (and have 12 to go.) That’s just about one month done. One month!

But before I tell you my results for this week’s weigh-in, I wanted to tell you about Nutribears.

nutrisystemLogoA Nutribear is a teddy bear. Nutrisystem members get Nutribears for free whenever they reach weight loss milestones. They have them for every 10 pounds lost up to 100 pounds, then by 25 pounds after that. They also have a Nutribear for reaching goal. All you have to do to get the bears is track your weight on the website. You’ll get your bears every time you get a shipment of food.

Since I went past the 10-pounds-lost mark for last week’s weigh-in, I got a Nutribear!

It came Friday, so I got to enjoy it for the weekend. And, since I’m silly, I thought I’d have a photostory about it.

Meet Pound, the 10 pound Nutribear. Nope, I didn’t name her. That’s her official name.

NB10-01Right away, Pound had to pass inspection by Makeup Files’ unofficial mascot, Apartment Gnome. He was leery at first, especially at the prospect of more bears in the future. But they became quick friends. He even played the fiddle for her.

Hopefully there will be no friendship fallouts in the future. I’ll keep you posted.

Lately, I’ve been super obsessed with Sudoku. I picked up a big book of Sudoku puzzles from the bargain section of Barnes & Noble on Friday. Pound helped me find that 7 in the top right square. (Don’t tell her this, but I could have totally found it myself.)

NB10-03My mom and her husband went away for the weekend. Thus, I was in charge of bringing in mail and feeding the cat. Normally I would go raid their cupboards and eat all their food, but not on Nutrisystem. I brought along Pound so she could keep an eye on me.

Also, Pound and Kitty became friends. Well, more like Kitty tolerated Pound’s presence. After all, cats and bears don’t usually get along.

It was a good weekend.

I’m looking forward to getting more Nutribears. Hopefully Nutribear 20, Commitment, will be in my next shipment. And that seems plausible because I’m totally inching my way to that number.

Speaking of which…time for weigh-in!

week04For my fourth week on Nutrisystem, I lost 2.4 pounds! That’s a total of exactly 15 pounds lost in four weeks. 15 pounds! And seeing as I was hoping to lose 10 pounds a month, I am VERY happy.

  • Week 1: –6.4 pounds
  • Week 2: –2.4 pounds (-8.8 total)
  • Week 3: –3.8 pounds (-12.6 total)
  • Week 4: –2.4 pounds (-15.0 total)

Now back to work to the lot of you!

Disclosure: Nutrisystem is providing their program and support services free of charge for my participation in the Nutrisystem Nation Blogging Program.

  1. OMG! You are totally rocking the program! Congrats!!!! Love the kitty pic, my cat stays away from my “pound” LOL.

    • Thanks, Di! You’re doing awesome, too.

Yeah, Kitty wasn’t that interested in Pound. In was a lucky photo-op. 😉

  2. Congrats on your great progress! I have a weird-ish question though… Are you worried about what you’ll do when the program ends? I think it’s good that the program encourages you to add in fruits and veggies, but what about learning to cook healthy main courses for when the program is over and you aren’t buying pre-made meals anymore? Do you have any tips or ideas you could share?

    • That’s not a weird question at all, Katherine. And I’m not going to lie: I am worried about it. Especially since I know I won’t be anywhere near goal at the end of the four months. I just have too much to lose. But with the help of the member forums and the Nutrisystem officials, i hope to have a plan before I go off NS. I’ll be writing about that here as it gets closer to the end, so stay tuned.

  3. Trisha you are so funny!

I have two milestones in place. I am turning 30 next month and I just started Nutrisystem on 9/23/13. Which is how I stumbled onto your blog. You are truly an inspiration and a role model for healthy and responsible weight loss. You made this process look WAY to easy! 🙂
