Nutrisystem Nation Week 12 Results and Nutribear 30 Photostory

Happy Fourth of July!

We’ve got a lot to cover today, when it comes to my Nutrisystem journey. First, you’re going to meet a new member of the family, Nutribear 30, Community.

Then, you get to see the results of my week 12 weigh-in.

And finally, a look at my body measurements since week 8.

nutrisystemLogoAs you may remember, Nutrisystem gives their members Nutribears as a gift for reaching certain weight loss levels. You’ve already met Pound and Commitment. Since I hit a 30 pound loss a few weeks ago, I got a new bear.

Meet Community, the Nutribear 30. He’s bright, sky blue.

As always, Apartment Gnome, the unofficial mascot of Makeup Files, had to approve Community’s arrival. Well, AG pulled me aside and told me he was feeling really overwhelmed. He’s not used to all these animals roaming about. Luckily, Community was on his best behavior (though I can’t say the same about the other two. Troublemakers).

nutribear30-02Remember a few weeks ago I was lamenting over how I wanted even more romantic comedies than I already had? Well, since then, I’ve picked up some more to add to my stash. He’s Just Not That Into You, Class and Secret Admirer (I got it for the latter because my VHS copy of Secret Admirer finally died), The Holiday, Becoming Jane and Definitely, Maybe.

Community wanted to watch them all.

nutribear30-03Okay, I’ve really been craving lemon bars, especially with all of this nice weather. So, I found a low-calorie lemon bar recipe online at Cooking Done Light. After all, I’m not going to be on Nutrisystem forever. I need to figure out how to live low-cal all the time.

Community watched while I made these low-calorie lemon bars from scratch at my mom’s house. My mom got that “Fran” apron at a garage sale last year. Pretty hilarious. No, no one in our family is named Fran.

nutribear30-04Mmmm, low calorie lemon bars! Each one was only 60 calories, so I got to eat two in place of a Nutisystem dessert. They were delicious and a big hit for everyone who ate them.

Community wanted to eat mine, but I told him to stick with raw fish like a good bear.

Weigh-In Time!

week12I lost 4.2 pounds this week! OMG! That brings my total to 34.8 pounds lost in 12 weeks.

I’m getting into uncharted territory here, people. See, I moved to Montana almost 4 years ago, and I’ve never weighed this little in my time here. Granted, I still have over 80 pounds to lose, but it still feels good that I’m now at a weight that I haven’t been in years.

Body measurements, y’all.

I measure various parts of my body every 4 weeks. Here are the changes from week 8 to now:

  • Upper Arms: –0.5 inches (-2.75 inches total)
  • Chest: –0 inches (-6 inches total)
  • Waist: –2 inches  (-2.75 inches total)
  • Hips: –0.5 inches (-3.5 inches total
  • Thighs: –0 inches (-2.5 inches total)

I’ve lost 3 inches in the past 4 weeks and 17.5 inches total.

Even though there weren’t big numbers this time around, I’m happy that my loss has slowed down for my chest and sped up for my waist. That’s what I like to see.

  2. Congratulations, and wow Apartment Gnome must be getting overwhelmed over there LOL. Those lemon bars look soo delicious, I want to try making them sometime this summer.

    • I made them again and this time Replaced most of the sugar with Splenda. It still tasted super good, but with even less calories.
