Smooth Sailing With Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes

I’ve been looking for a good eye cream for a while now. I wanted something that added a lot of moisture, didn’t have a fragrance, and that wasn’t greasy.

Then I got to try the Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes. It’s a thick moisturizer made especially for eyes. It not only boasts good moisture, but it also promises long-term relief from dryness. While I’ve never had a problem with excessive dryness around my eyes, I was still excited about the other aspects.

I’ve been applying this eyes-only moisturizer every day, morning and night.

How does it work?

Murad doesn’t try to make it tough to use this stuff. I just twist off the thick cap from this plastic jar to find a mass of white cream.

MuradforEyes02I add just a little bit to the pad of my pointer finger and smooth it around my eye – both under the eye and above, up to the eyebrow.

How much is a “little bit?”

The Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes comes in a 0.5 fl oz jar for $60. That may seem like a high price, but you’d be surprised at how little you need.

I dipped just a bit of my finger into the mix and was able to moisturize both of my eyes with ease. Just how little?

MuradforEyes03This small amount was all I needed. I’ve been using this moisturizer for a while now and I’ve barely made a dent in the sleek jar.

Now, if you have super dry skin around your eyes, you may need more. But not much more.

How well does it work?

I read the promises from Murad for this eye cream. Right there, in bold black letters, they promised that the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturizer for Eyes would last 8 hours.

It sounded like a good idea. After all, if I slather it on before bed, I want it to last until I wake up from my beauty sleep.

But did it live up to that promise? Yes.

This moisturizer made the delicate skin around my eyes feel smooth and soft without adding a greasy residue.

And, just like what I need and want, it didn’t have a fragrance. None at all. My eyes and skin stayed irritation-free.

The Final Verdict

This moisturizer had everything I wanted in an eye cream. It hydrated my eyes well without a greasy feel or irritating fragrance. And since I needed barely any of it to get the job done, I’m happy to say that it’s going to last a long time. Would I get this again? Definitely.

  1. Awesome review 🙂 Sometimes w/ eye creams that are too rich/moisturizing, they irritate my skin, so it’s good to hear that this doesn’t.

    • Thanks, MM. Even worse for me than too rich is having a fragrance. My skin, especially on my face, is just too darn sensitive for most skincare fragrances.
