Nutrisystem Nation Week 31 Results

When I first started Nutrisystem back in April, passing week 30 seemed like such a faraway goal. But now I’m here and it seemed to happen so fast. And, luckily, I’m seeing results.

A Change of Face

Now that I’ve lost over 65 pounds, I’ve been seeing a lot of changes. Not just on the scale, but with my clothes and body shape as well.

I went from wearing size 18 jeans to size 14, and XXL tops to L.

When I look in the mirror, I see a difference in my body. It’s like night and day.

For the longest time, I couldn’t see the change at all in my face, though. I’d compare pictures from the beginning to now and I looked exactly the same. Kind of a bummer.

Then, this weekend I was browsing Face of the Day pictures that I posted on Makeup Files’ Facebook page.

As I looked back at these pictures, my first reaction was “wow, look how wide my face was.” Now, all of a sudden, I can see the difference. I’m so used to my new slimmer face, that when I looked at old pictures at the heavier weight, they didn’t look right at all.

And now I can see the difference from head to toe! Sure, I have a little over 50 more pounds left to lose, but it’s still a breakthrough.

Speaking of which, I plan to have some before-and-after photos for you all soon. A sort of “halfway there” photo session so you can see the difference, too. Be on the lookout!

Time to hop on that scale…

I weighed myself this morning. This is what I found:

I lost 0.6 pounds this week! That brings my total to 67.2 pounds lost in 31 weeks.

Sure, it’s not a huge number this week, but any bit of weight loss helps.

And my progress so far:

  • Week 15: –3.0 pounds (-40.6 total)
  • Week 16: –1.2 pounds (-41.8 total)
  • Week 17: –2.8 pounds (-44.6 total)
  • Week 18: +0.8 pounds (-43.8 total)
  • Week 19: –2.6 pounds (-46.4 total)
  • Week 20: –1.4 pounds (-47.8 total)
  • Week 21: –1.6 pounds (-49.4 total)
  • Week 22: –3.4 pounds (-52.8 total)
  • Week 23: –2.6 pounds (-55.4 total)
  • Week 24: –0.6 pounds (-56.0 total)

  2. First off I would like to say terrific blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thank you!

      I’ve been writing for a living for so long, that it doesn’t take much to get focused anymore. So that may be something that comes to you with time.

      But, for now, whenever you have that 10 or 15 minutes where you can’t get started, get up from your chair and walk around the house. Look out the window. Relax. Don’t worry about. Then sit down and write.
