Nutrisystem Nation Week 38 Results

Happy New Year!

I got Kinect for my Xbox for Christmas. While I got awesome games that make you move (and which are a lot of fun), I didn’t get anything meant for fitness. So, a few days later I went out and bought Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012. It’s a game with all sorts of fitness routines, like cardio workouts and body-targeted workouts and jump roping and dance class and yoga and a million other things.

I’ve been doing it every day since and I feel awesome.

But what about cookies?

Ever since I started Nutrisystem back in April, 2011, I’ve been planning for the day when I hit goal and go off of the program. While I know I can handle most meals of the day (and eat responsibly), dessert is a tricky one. Most desserts are just too terrible for you to eat on a regular basis.

Last night, I had chocolate chip cookies on my mind. So, through the magical powers of Google, I found a low-calorie, low-fat chocolate chip cookie recipe from Cooking Done Light.

This recipe makes 24 cookies at 61 calories each. Wow! And, it uses real sugar and brown sugar. So, I figure if I sub those out for Splenda and Splenda Brown Sugar Blend, they’ll be around 40 calories per cookie.

Double wow!

That means I could eat four or five of them in place of one Nutrisystem dessert! Yeah, I’ll totally be making these once I’m done with Nutrisystem. Cookies!

(I find lots of awesome recipes and other cool stuff all the time. If you want to see the cool stuff I find on the Internet, follow me on Pinterest.)

Let’s weigh-in already!

Fine. I’ll hop on the scale. This is what it says:

I lost 1.4 pounds this week! That brings my total to 71.2 pounds lost in 38 weeks.

Yay! Losing again! Take that, fat!

  3. Yay, well done, Trisha!

They cookies sound yummy! I think I’ll try and make them too.

  4. Yay, the weight loss and the cookie recipe sound fantastic! I guess I’m one of the people who don’t have a sweet tooth. I don’t crave sweets as much as salty things. Once in a while, I crave for crunchy salty stuff and I find seasoned seaweed to do the trick.
