Naturopathica Normal to Dry Regimen Kit Review: 30 Days Later

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I took the Naturapathica 30 Day Transformation Challenge.

What did that entail? Basically, using the Naturopathica Normal to Dry Regimen Kit for AM and PM skincare for 30 days.

Today marks the end of those 30 days, and I thought I’d give a final review.

But, before I do that, first a little description.

Naturopathica02The Naturopathica Normal to Dry Regimen Kit comes with four skincare products:

  • Oat Facial Polish (AM)
  • Beech Tree & Ginseng Daily Moisturizer (AM & PM)
  • Chamomile Cleansing Milk (PM)
  • Plant Stem Cell Serum (PM)

Rather than having separate categories like I usually do for reviews, I thought I’d address my initial reactions to the regimen kit.

“Are some of these products going to last 30 days?”

When I first started using the kit, the 1 ounce bottle of Beech Tree & Ginseng Daily Moisturizer seemed too small to me. After all, I was supposed to use it AM and PM every day for 30 days.

Sure enough, I could no longer pump any out two weeks in. While there was still some left in the bottle, I had a hard time getting it out. The bottle is plastic, but it’s too stiff to squeeze and the opening is narrow.

Here’s the thing: I think it’s my fault that I ran out.

See, I have a habit of using face moisturizer on my neck and chest as well. After all, that’s often in the directions of most lotions. But, I didn’t really notice that the directions for this daily moisturizer said to only use it on your face. It makes sense that I ran out halfway through when I used twice as much.

“My skin is soft.”

Yes, this is the first thing I noticed.

When a skincare product is for “normal to dry,” you sometimes end up with greasy skin. Luckily, that wasn’t the case for this Naturopathica regimen kit.

When using all of the products together and as intended, my skin felt lovely. It stayed soft and quenched for the entire day.

“Yay! No allergic break-outs!”

My skin is pretty sensitive, especially on my face. If a moisturizer has a scent, it will usually make me break out in hives.

While this kit had a scent (more on that in a minute), it was made out of natural ingredients and didn’t bug out my skin.

A major plus.

“Mmm, my face smells like tea.”

You know the scent of tea? It smells like herbs and leaves and relaxing goodness.

That’s how my skin smelled with Naturopathica. Since the brand uses natural ingredients, it makes perfect sense.

And this was especially the case when I went to bed at night. The PM routine uses…

  1. Chamomile Cleansing Milk
  2. Plant Stem Cell Serum
  3. Beech Tree & Ginseng Daily Moisturizer

That means that, by the time I climbed into bed, my face smelled like chamomile, plants, beech tree and ginseng.

And I loved it.

The Final Verdict

In general, I really liked the Naturopathica Normal to Dry Regimen Kit. It smelled lovely, left my skin soft, and didn’t bug my skin. My only problems are that the daily moisturizer doesn’t have any SPF and that it was really hard to get the last quarter of the lotion out of the bottle. for these reasons, I give the regimen kit a…

  1. Oh, it’s annoying when you don’t get all of the products out of the bottle but I’m glad this kit works for you. I used to frown upon natural skincare products but they work better than the conventional ones. A lot gentler, too.

    • Why did you originally frown on natural skincare, if you don’t mind me asking?

I agree, definitely a lot gentler. Though, personally, I don’t mind if my products are natural or not. Just as long as it doesn’t bug my skin.
