Nutrisystem Nation Week 46 Results and Weight Loss Percentage

Have you heard of weight loss percentage? Basically, it’s the percentage of total weight someone has lost. You hear the folks on Biggest Loser talking about weight loss percentage a lot since that’s how they make the competition fair.

I figured since I’ve been losing weight for 46 weeks now while on Nutrisystem, I should totally calculate my weight loss percentage.

NutrisystemSuccess

But first, a weigh-in.

We need to know my current weight before we calculate. (That rhymed!) Here’s what the scale said this morning:

week46I lost 0.6 pounds this week! That brings my total to 79.4 pounds lost in 46 weeks.

I predict that I’ll hit 80 pounds lost next week. Come back Monday to see if I’m right.

My Weight Loss Percentage

Now that I know how much I’ve lost, I can use the weight loss percentage calculator I found at FitWatch.

With a starting weight of 255.6 pounds, and a current weight of 176.2 pounds, my weight loss percentage is…

Weight Loss Percentage31.06%! That’s means I’ve lost almost a third of my body in the last 46 weeks. A third! How crazy is that? Crazy awesome, maybe.

Here’s my progress since the start of Nutrisystem:

  2. I looked back at your before and after pictures and you look great! I’m starting to lose weight but haven’t made quite as much progress as you :) one question, is your skin stretched out or has it regained its shape pretty well? That’s one thing i’m nervous about. thanks, and congrats!

    • Thanks, Anon!

Even after 80 pounds lost, I don’t really have loose skin. I still have flab around my tummy, but I wouldn’t call it loose skin.

They say that, if you have loose skin after hitting goal, it will take about a year for your skin to bounce into place. You body just takes a while to get used to its new shape.

But don’t let the prospect of loose skin keep you from losing weight. Being healthy with some loose skin is better than unhealthy with a bunch of fat.

      I believe in you! :)

  3. That is so awesome, Trisha! I’m so happy for you!
