Let’s Highlight PixiGlow Fairy Dust

If you’ve just been itching to see some reviews after reading my preview of Pixi’s new Tinkerbell line, PixiGlow, you’re in luck. Today, I’m going to show you one of my favorite things from the new line: Pixi PixiGlow Fairy Dust.

The PixiGlow line is a collaboration between Disney and Pixi to create makeup worthy of the all-time best fairy: Tinkerbell. PixiGlow Fairy Dust has the twinkle and shimmer you’d expect from this iconic fairy.

Fairy Dust comes with a built-in round applicator. Normally I’m not a fan of most built-in applicators, but this one works well. It’s stiff and soft and makes it easy to apply this cream-gold shimmer.

PixiGlowFairyDust02As you can see in the swatch above, the formula is light and shimmery. You can blend it in more so that the result is a subtle warm highlight.

In fact, I think the Fairy Dust works best as a highlighter. I’ve been using it under my brows, at the inside corner of my eye, on the apples of my cheeks and in the cupid’s bow dimple.

This loose powder is perfect for highlighting and giving me a shimmery, dewy look.

My only complaint is that some of the shimmer powder falls out when you remove the applicator. It’s a small amount, but I hate that some is wasted every time I use it.
