Nutrisystem Nation Week 58 Results

I’m back in town!

As you may recall, I was out of town for a week, and the day I’d normally do a Nutrisystem post was right smack dab in the middle of my vacation. So, I wasn’t able to give the week 57 results post. This update will cover that two-week period.

The Nervousness

Being out of town for a little over a week had me nervous. How would I do with the eating? I had two opinions on the subject:

  • I don’t want to gain any weight.
  • This is a vacation. I shouldn’t have to be so rigid.

Pretty conflicting, huh? Hey, I never said this was easy.

In the end, this was decided for me. While I did bring my Nutrisystem food with me, there was almost no chance to eat it. I’d gone out to eat with old friends (Chinese food), went to my favorite restaurant at the Mall of America (Tiger Sushi) and even had the occasional fast food (McDonald’s cheeseburgers are only 300 calories.) Almost all food was out-to-eat or made my by mom (awww).

Even so, I tried to watch what I ate. I had to use my own experience since there wasn’t an easy way to track what I was eating. I had to judge whether that pork and seafood with rice noodles soup would be too many calories. I had to remember what I ate for the day to know if I could eat those cookies at the hotel on the drive out there.

But, on my way back, I was nervous. Sure, I ate about half of what I would have eaten if I took the same trip two years ago, but was that enough? Did all that eating-out ruin my success? If I did gain weight, is that okay since I was on vacation anyway?

Needless to say, I was pretty nervous about today’s weigh-in.

Let’s get to the weigh-in, then.

This morning, the scale said…

I lost 1 pound these two weeks! That means I’ve lost 89.6 pounds total in the last 58 weeks.

Well! Even with 8 days of vacation, 4 of which were spent on the road, I still lost weight! Oh yeah, I’m proud of myself. And that makes me really confident in my success once off of Nutrisystem.

Also, look how close I am to losing 90 pounds! Woo!

  4. I’m so proud of you, Trisha! I remember taking a 2-day road trip a few months ago and during those 48 hours, I gorged myself with yummy food. There’s something about being in a car that makes me want to eat. But that was good, though. I got my cravings out of my system and when I came back, it was full-on commitment again. The next time I travel, I will take your advice and plan my food ahead of time.
