Nutrisystem Nation Week 67 Results and New Fitness Regimen

5 weeks until I’m done with Nutrisystem. Ahhh! So soon!

My New Fitness Regimen

Remember when I ran a 5K? That was pretty awesome!

Finishing the Couch to 5K program and running a 5K race was a goal I set for myself. It had two purposes: to achieve something physical, and to figure out if I like running.

After all that, I’ve decided that running really isn’t for me. I never got that fabled “runner’s high.” On the contrary, I’d usually be thinking “Ahhh! When is this going to end?!” while I was running. It wasn’t fun.

So, now that I achieved everything I wanted to, running-wise, I’m moving on to other things.

Once the weather gets cold, I’m going to do P90X, but for now, I wanted to exercise out in the super nice hot weather. That involves two cardio workouts.

1. Climbing the Mountain

I live in Montana. It’s mountainous. And I happen to live right next to a mountain that gets hiked regularly. There’s a marker about two-thirds of the way up the mountain, and that’s my destination. I took this picture of the view from there yesterday after I hiked up, but before making my way back down:

Pretty! This is the view of Missoula from the mountain. As you can see, I’m pretty high up. It ends up being about a 500-foot climb up the mountain, and it takes me an hour to get up there and back down.

2. Biking Across Town

There’s this really awesome bike trail that goes right through town. I’ve been taking out the bike and going along this trail at least a few times a week.

The ride ends up being about 9 miles and takes me about an hour.

So, those are the two things I’ve been doing lately! What do you think?

Let’s weigh in already.

The scale had this to say this morning:

week67I lost 0.8 pounds this week! That means I’ve lost 96.4 pounds total in 67 weeks.

I really hope I hit 100 pounds lost before I’m done with Nutrisystem. I’m so close! While that won’t be my goal weight loss (I’ll still have 20 pounds to go after that), 100 is a really big deal.

Here’s how I’ve been doing since the beginning:

  1. I was over at my friend’s house and used her scale…according to that, I gained 25 lbs between waking up and breakfast LOL. I’m going to say that’s not the most accurate weighing ever. Love your new exercise plans! Biking is great, and 9 miles is definitely a workout. Go Trisha!

  2. I don’t like running either. Biking is a lot more fun! And that’s a great exercise plan. I should start exercising again too, but the weather it’s just too hot here to do anything atm…
