Nutrisystem Nation Week 72 Results and Final Tally for This Leg of the Journey

My journey with Nutrisystem is finally over. After 72 weeks of careful eating and sometimes-intense exercise, this will be my last official Nutrisystem weigh-in post.

While my final week wasn’t that great (I spent the whole of it super sick with a terrible cold), I’m still excited to share with you all the culmination of my hard work. So, get ready. For my last official weigh-in post for Nutrisystem, we’ll have a weigh in, body measurements, before and after pictures, and final tallies of all my stats.

Hooray!

The Final Tally

Weight loss is all about the numbers. In my 72-week journey on Nutrisystem, here’s how things have changed:

  • I’ve lost 99.2 pounds.
  • That equals about 1.37 pounds lost per week on average.
  • I’ve gone from a tight size 18 to a roomy size 8.
  • I’ve gone from an XXL to a roomy M.
  • I’ve gone from a 42DDD to a 36D.
  • I’ve lost a total of 52.25 inches over my upper arm, chest, waist, hips and thigh. And that’s just one upper arm and one thigh.
  • I’ve had a 38.81% weight loss percentage. That’s over a third of my body.
  • My body mass index has gone from 41.3 (super obese) to 25.3 (overweight).

The numbers are all well and good, but how about a visual? My before and after pictures!

On the left, my 28th birthday. On my right, just a few days ago. You can definitely see a difference all around! (click the picture for a bigger view)

I look so different, it’s insane. In a good way!

Look at my arms! And my chin! And neck! And waist! Ahhh!

Time for the final NS weigh-in.

Here’s what the scale said this morning:

week72I lost 0.4 pounds! That means I’ve lost 99.2 pounds total over 72 weeks.

So close to 100, but I didn’t get there. That’s fine! 99.2 is still hella amazing. And when I finally hit that 100, you’ll know about it.

Also, body measurements.

I’ve been measuring important parts of my body every four weeks. Here are the changes from week 68 to now:

  • Upper Arm: –0.25 inches (-5.25 inches total)
  • Chest: –0.5 inches (-13 inches total)
  • Waist: No Change (-13 inches total)
  • Hips: –0.75 inches (-14 inches total)
  • Thigh: –0.5 inches (-7 inches total)

That means I’ve lost 2.0 inches overall in the last 4 weeks, and 52.25 inches total over 72 weeks.

A Quick Thanks

Thank you to my readers for sticking by me. Having you watch my progress helped me to stay on track. And, of course, all the helpful encouragement really made me feel great.

Thank you to my family for never trying to sabotage my weight loss. That means a lot! And Mom, thanks so much for the congratulatory bouquet this morning. It’s beautiful.

Thank you to Nutrisystem for giving me this opportunity, and to Meredith for always telling me I’m a rock star. This would have never happened without you guys.

What’s Coming Up Next

While I may be done with Nutrisystem, I’m not done losing weight. As I mentioned in my video last week, I’ll continue to update Makeup Files on my journey. But, instead of updating once a week, I’ll update only when I reach cool milestones or have other important things to say.

Here’s some of what’s left to come:

  • I have 0.8 pounds to go until I reach 100 pounds lost.
  • I have 1.6 pounds to lose until I go from overweight to normal BMI.
  • I have 21.4 pounds to lose until I reach my final goal weight.

I hope you stick around to see it all happen!

  6. Huge congrats on such an impressive journey. I love how you’ve kept chugging along, like the little engine that could, not letting little hurdles stop you, always looking towards the next milestone. Your commitment to reaching your goals has been so inspirational and I can’t wait til you announce your 100 pound milestone. I hope you have plans to celebrate with something special like a spa day or shopping spree.

By the way, how ridiculous is it that BMI thinks you’re currently overweight?

  8. Wow! Good job! I was looking up reviews of Nutrisystem and found your youtube video with the five tips from 2011 and I wanted to see how you were doing with the program and it looks like you’ve done really well! I only need to lose 20 pounds but your success is very inspiring and makes me feel like I can definitely do it – especially if you have been able to lose five times that amount! Thank you for sharing your experience with the public.
