The Japonesque Breast Cancer Awareness PINK Collection is Both Awesome and Philanthropic

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So many beauty companies are selling awesome pink-themed products with proceeds going to breast cancer research, and Japonesque is no exception.

The Japonesque Breast Cancer Awareness PINK Collection features a Brow Kit, Manicure Kit, Pink Touch Up Tube, Mini Heated Eyelash Curler and Artisan Slant Tweezer. And all are pink (my favorite!). $1 from each sale goes toward breast cancer research.

Of the collection, I got to try the Manicure Kit and Mini Heated Eyelash Curler.

Japonesque Manicure Kit in Pink

JaponesqueBCA01This manicure set is in a super cute pink puffy case that opens up like a book.

It comes with:

  • Tweezers
  • Nail Clippers
  • Nail Nippers
  • Nail and Cuticle Scissors
  • Combination Nail File, Groom Tool and Scoop

Japonesque is known for its high quality beauty tools, and this kit doesn’t disappoint. Everything worked super well. I was most impressed by the nail nippers. They made it super easy to clean up my nails. This is my first pair of nippers, and I love them.

Japonesque Heated Mini Eyelash Curler in Pink

JaponesqueBCA03Rather than the typical “squeeze” variety of eyelash curlers, this one uses heat and a mascara-like wand.

JaponesqueBCA04To use it, you insert the included battery, turn it on, and let it warm up. 30 seconds ought to do it. While it’s heating up, put on some mascara before using it, which is suggested by Japonesque.

JaponesqueBCA05You just hold the wand against your lashes for about 15 seconds. I was skeptical about this. I thought, “how could this possibly curl my lashes?”

Then I saw the results:

JaponesqueBCA06Oh yeah, they curled the heck out of my lashes. And that’s saying a lot since my lashes are already naturally curly, as seen in the “before.” Yet, in the “after,” my lashes are totally curlier. Almost like fake lashes. Happy!

The one drawback I see is the fact that you need to have mascara on. The problem is the thin slats of the wand. What happens after 10 or 15 uses? I imagine it’ll get pretty clogged with mascara, and I have no idea how to clean it. It’s a mystery, for now.

For these reasons, I give the Japonesque Heated Mini Eyelash Curler a…
