Does Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Frizz Control Actually Control Frizz?

I’ve reviewed Clear shampoo and conditioner before. I tried the Clear Total Care duo and gave it a B+.

Well, today, I’m reviewing the Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner duo. But, since I’ve already reviewed Clear in general, I wanted to get right down to brass tacks: Does it really control frizz?

Clear Shampoo and Conditioner: Frizz ControlFirst though, a rundown of the basics of Clear:

  • Clear targets the scalp to make hair healthier.
  • The lovely Heidi Klum is the spokesperson.
  • It smells exactly like Herbal Essences, for better or worse.

Let’s get started.

My natural hair: Curls and Frizz

I have naturally curly hair. Know what that means? I’m super prone to frizz.

Basically, my hair has a frizz baseline. It’s always at least a little frizzy. Then, if it’s humid or hot or I’m sweaty in general, it frizzes even more and my hair get’s twice as puffy.

Normally, I use hair products to control my frizz after shampooing/conditioning. Lately, I’ve been using either Suave Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse (I’m on my third can) or the Natural Essentials Dry Oils on my damp hair. They make my hair a lot less frizzy.

Since I wanted to test the frizz-controlling power of Clear Frizz Control, I decided to skip those hair products.

Au naturale.

Day One: Umm…Frizz City, USA

Clear has been promising a change in your hair after just 7 days of use. They call it “Take the 7 Day Scalp & Hair Challenge.”

My hair was frizzy.

But, they said seven days, so I persevered.

Day Seven: Now This is Some Nice Hair

I’ll say upfront: I didn’t use Clear all 7 days. It’s bad to wash your hair every day. Instead, I used it 4 times in this 7-day period (which is still a little more often than normal).

And, guess what? My hair looked pretty awesome. It looked just as good as it does with the hair products I listed above.

Which means, with Clear Frizz Control, I didn’t need any other products to control my frizz.

Was I frizz-free? No. Frankly, I think that’s impossible for me. But Day 7 looked noticeably better than Day 1. I even got compliments. This Clear Shampoo and Conditioner totally lives up to its promises.

Clear Frizz Control: The Final Verdict

After 7 Days, my frizz problems are pretty well-controlled. Though, I have to keep other aspects of Clear shampoos and conditioners in mind, mainly the totally unoriginal scent. Fragrance matters, guys. Keeping all this in mind, I give Clear Frizz Control a…
