Cargo Cosmetics Let’s Meet In Paris Eye Shadow Palette Review, Swatches and Looks

On a recent trip to Ulta, I picked up the holiday limited edition Cargo Cosmetics Let’s Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette. Since I love eye shadow so much, I just couldn’t resist!

Today, I’ve got the Let’s Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette review, along with swatches and looks!

Cargo Cosmetics Let's Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette ReviewLook at the awesome packaging! The Cargo Let’s Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette comes in a rather big case (7.5 by 3.5 inches) that’s covered in a pretty damask fabric.

Let's Meet In Paris Eye Shadow Palette Review: Close-UpInside, you find 12 different eye shadows. There are both shimmery and sparkly shades.

This kit comes with a double-ended brush. One end is a shadow brush and the other is an angled liner brush.

I loved the angled liner side, but the shadow brush just wasn’t good enough for me. The bristles spread too far apart to get good, pigmented application.

Let's Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette Review: The Eye ShadowsAs you can see from the colors, there’s quite a bit of variety. When I first saw this palette, I was immediately taken in by Crème Brulee, the bronze/gold shade.

Let’s see the swatches to really get a good idea how they look!

Cargo Let's Meet In Paris Swatches 1This is the top row of shadows with no base or primer.

The bluish silver color, Louvre, surprised me the most. It’s beautiful! All these colors are super pigmented and go on well.

Cargo Let's Meet in Paris Swatches 2This is the bottom row of shadows with no base or primer.

From the bottom row, Croissant was definitely my favorite. It was a brown shade with blue shimmer—the second from the left. Gorgeous.

I’ve found that the shimmery shades were a bit more pigmented than the sparkly ones.

Wondering what you could do with these shadows? Well, I created some looks so you can get some ideas.

Looks With the Cargo Let's Meet in Paris PaletteThese were just 4 looks of an unlimited number of possibilities. For these looks, I used…

  1. Macaron, Bonjour, Eiffel Tower and Crème Brulee over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skintone.
  2. Baguette, Versailles and Beret without a base.
  3. Baquette as a shadow and Madame as a liner without a base.
  4. Baguette, Eiffel Tower, Croissant and Louvre over NYX Eyeshadow Base in White.

My favorite is definitely #4. What cool looks would you come up with?

Pro-tip: watch out for fallout—especially on the sparkly shades!

Cargo Cosmetics Let’s Meet in Paris Eye Shadow Palette: The Final Verdict

There are eye shadow shades in this palette that I don’t already own, so that makes this one unique. While it’s great that it comes with a double-ended makeup brush, only one end was good at makeup application.

I liked the colors. They were super pigmented and I was able to create so many great looks. However, they had a bit of fallout. For all of these reasons, I give the Cargo Let’s Meet in Paris palette a…
