Creating Sharp Eye Shadow Edges With Tape!
Do you read Makeup and Beauty Blog? (You don’t? You totally should!) It’s one of the best beauty blogs out there, and Karen has some really great stuff—and a super adorable cat.
Recently, Karen had a post called A Tuesday Eye Makeup Tip: How To Get a Precise Outer Cat Eye Edge. In it, she shows you how you can get sharp eye shadow edges using tape!
Of course, I had to try it myself. Here’s how it turned out:
I used clear tape to get the sharp eye shadow edge. I taped from the outside corner of my eye to the very end of my eyebrow.
Then I just did my eye shadow as usual, not afraid to get any of the makeup over the tape. For this look, I used colors from the Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box.
BOOM! Super cute sharp eye shadow!
I’m definitely going to do this again.
Would you try this technique?
I suggest doing this before applying face makeup, since the tape might pull all that off. Also, if your afraid of tugging at your skin, you could always use painters tape. It’s a lot gentler.
Let’s chat about it in the comments!
