FOTD: Citrus Candy Eye Shadow Look
I can wear smoky eye shadow. I can go for minimal makeup looks. But my true love? Bright and colorful eye shadow.
With that in mind, today’s face of the day brings me back to what I love with great shades of yellow, orange and pink. I call it the Citrus Candy Eye Shadow Look.
See the sunshine? It’s been super rare around here lately. Most days have been incredibly gloomy and it’s been bumming me out. But not in this picture! I’m just happy for a little sunshine.
I’m wearing face makeup today! I normally go for just a bit of powder and blush, but I went all out.
I used the green and light beige shades from the Pixi Eye Bright Kit concealer set on and around my nose and eyes. Then I used the Cover FX Pressed Mineral Foundation all over.
Finally, the beautyADDICTS Hydra SUNRays Matte Bronzing Powder to define some cheek bones and Benefit Coralista on my cheeks.
It’s all about the eye shadow, right? I agree.
First, I used NYX Eyeshadow Base in White. Then I used eye shadows from the Sigma Crème de Couture Eye Shadow Palette. These are the colors I used:
- Meyer Lemon at the inside corner of the eye.
- Ginger Pumpkin on the rest of the lid to just above the crease.
- Redberry Rose blended into the crease.
- Cherry Blossom on the brow bone blended into Redberry Rose
- Café au Lait at the outside corner and up to the crease to darken it a bit.
I finished off the look with butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil in Union Jack Black on the top lash line and NYX Doll Eye Volume Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
I’m so, so happy with how this turned out. What do you think of the citrus candy eye shadow look? Would you rock this super bright and colorful eye shadow?
