FOTD: Radiant Orchid Makeup Look

I just can’t seem to forget about the Pantone color of the year for 2014, Radiant Orchid. So far, I’ve done a Radiant Orchid NOTD and reviewed Pixi’s take on the floral color. Well, today I thought I’d do a Face of the Day inspired by this, so I came up with a Radiant Orchid makeup look.

But first, a reminder of the color:

Radiant OrchidVery pretty, right? Here’s what I came up with for my FOTD:

FOTD: Radiant Orchid Makeup Look

For face makeup, I used Cover FX Pressed Mineral Foundation along with Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Colour in Praline and Benefit Coralista on my cheeks.

For my lips, I went with the beauty ADDICTS Lip Addiction Lip Gloss in Fierce.

Radiant Orchid Makeup Look with Radiant Orchid Eye ShadowIt’s all about the eyes, though, isn’t it? After all, this is why I get to call this a Radiant Orchid makeup look. Because of the eye shadow. This is what I used:

I think it turned out very close to what Pantone suggests with Radiant Orchid. What do you think of my FOTD?

Let’s chat about it in the comments!

I’m signed up for a half marathon!

I know I haven’t talked about fitness in a while. That doesn’t mean I’m not working out, though! In fact, I recently signed up for the Missoula Half-Marathon. I’m so excited! Up until this point, the longest race I’ve done is 4 miles. A half marathon is 13.1 miles. Yikes!

But, I’m feeling confident. I’m starting a training class in March, and the half marathon is in July. I’m excited! (And a bit scared.)

Have you done a half marathon? How was it?
