Birchbox Subscriptions: What You Missed in February 2014

As you know, I’m no stranger to beauty subscription services. But what about Birchbox subscriptions? It seems to be one of the most popular out there! And it’s only $10 a month.

If you’ve been thinking of signing up, let’s see what you missed in February.

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: The BoxBirchbox subscribers got a special edition box for February: “Step and Repeat” from Birchbox and Us Weekly.

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: Inside the BoxThe box is meant to help you celebrate awards season. (The Oscars are this Sunday!)

There were lots of things subscribers could have gotten in their box, including OPI and Smashbox. I’ll show you what I got!

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: The ContentsEverything you get is sample-sized.

Let’s take a closer look!

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: Beauty ProtectorFirst, I got the Beauty Protector Protect & Oil. This is a hair oil you can use on damp or dry hair. My favorite thing about this one? The scent! It smells just like vanilla sugar and reminds me of Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil.

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: Ruby WingI love nail polish!

In this Birchbox, I got the Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish in Kitten Heels. It changes in the sun. Inside, it’s hot pink. Outside, it turns red.

Perhaps I’ll use it in an NOTD soon!

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: Juicy Couture Couture La La MalibuNext in the box, a sample of Juicy Couture perfume in Couture La La Malibu.

Unfortunately, this scent is pretty generic. It smelled like so many other perfumes. Good thing this is a sample size, then!

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: Dr. Brandt Pores No MoreOne of my favorite things from the box: The Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner.

This stuff works well as a makeup base or primer. It has a bit of a beige tint, but it’s not super pigmented. It also smells like herbs, which I like.

Birchbox Subscriptions February 2014: 32 Oral CareThe US Weekly Birchbox came with a lifestyle extra: 32 Oral Care Effervescent Breath Crystals.

I’ll put it to you this way: they are basically minty Pop Rocks. And, instead of them being labeled candy, they’re breath fresheners.

Yeah, I thought these were awesome.

Do you have a Birchbox subscription?

If so, what came in your US Weekly box for February? Did you get anything cool that didn’t come in mine?

Let’s chat about it in the comments!
