My Favorite Budget Beauty Products: elf Makeup Brushes

Have you ever heard the saying, “You get what you pay for?” You hear that a lot in the sales world. It means that, generally, how much something costs is related to how good it is. The more expensive something is, the better quality it is.

Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. While budget beauty products can often be of poor quality, that’s not always the case. (Thankfully!)

Today, we’re talking about really good budget beauty products!

My Favorite Budget Beauty: elf Makeup Brushes

My favorite budget beauty products: elf makeup brushesIf you asked me what the best value is in the history of makeup, I’d point you in the direction of elf Makeup Brushes.

Specifically, I’d say the elf Essential Eye Shadow Brush and the elf Essential Blending Eye Brush. (They’re also known as “Professional” makeup brushes, if you got them in the past.)

My Favorite Budget Beauty Products: elf Eye Shadow BrushesWhy are elf makeup brushes so awesome?

  • They work very well. They pick up color like a boss and are blending masters.
  • They don’t feel cheap. I’ve used a lot of brushes over the years and these are way better than some expensive brands. I always go back to my elf brushes.
  • They last forever. I’ve been using the same elf eye shadow brush for years (which is why it’s black and not white), and it’s still amazing.
  • You can get them at Target. Thus, they’re easy to find.
  • They’re only $1 each!

Yep. Only one dollar.

Though I have many eye shadow brushes, I seem to always go back to these two. Favorites!

What’s your favorite budget beauty product?

Do you have something that was super cheap but worked amazingly well? Perhaps it was a drugstore mascara or a dollar lip gloss. I’d love to hear your suggestions!

Let’s chat about it in the comments!

  1. I haven’t tried the essential shader brush, but I have 5 of the blending ones. And while I do love them, some of them are definitely better quality than others…probably since they’re so inexpensive the quality control is somewhat lacking? I’ve found that it definitely helps to check out those particular brushes before buying though.

  2. I agree about the eyeshadow brush. It’s amazing! I’ve been using mine almost daily since I got it about four years ago, and it’s still as good as new. I can’t believe it cost me only £1! What a steal!

  4. I use the Elf powder brush and it works great.

  5. I LOVE these too. ELF makes the best budget brushes (at that very low price point) that I’ve found and I love that you can get them at Target. My favorites are the eyeshadow brush, concealer brush, blending brush and $3 flat top powder brush. Obsessed.
