Your 5 Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products?

Yesterday on Makeup and Beauty Blog (if you don’t follow it, you totally should), Karen asked her readers what their five all-time favorite makeup and beauty products were.

Honestly, I had a hard time coming up with an answer, but when I finally did, I immediately thought of you guys.

I want to know what your favorite makeup and beauty products are! It’s always fun to get recommendations from readers. Let’s share!

Your 5 Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products? To help you along, here’s my list of 5 favorite makeup and beauty products. I changed one of the products (#5) from what I listed on Karen’s post, after much thought.

Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products: NYX Eyeshadow Base1. NYX Eyeshadow Base. This is great in all shades, but especially White. The best white base on the market, I’d say. I use it all the time—especially if I’m going to do something bright.

Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products: elf Eye Shadow Brush2. e.l.f. Essential Eye Shadow Brush. Seriously, it’s only about a dollar and still amazing. How can that even be possible? But it’s the best and most-used eye shadow brush I own.

I’ve had this single eye shadow brush for many years (more than 5, for sure), and it’s still going strong.

Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products: Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Nirvana3. Sinful Colors Nail Polish. Any of them, all of them. But especially Nirvana. It’s a muted light brown and it rocks my world.

It’s crazy that Sinful Colors nail polish is usually only $1.99—yet it works as well, or better, as many nail polishes that are ten times that price.

Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products: L'occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil4. L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil. This murders all body oil/lotion competition. I rarely use it because I want my one bottle to last forever.

And it smells so good! Seriously.

Favorite Makeup and Beauty Products: VS Sweet Craving5. Victoria’s Secret Attractions Sweet Craving Fragrance Mist. It doesn’t matter what mood I am, I always love smelling like dessert. And, the best dessert-scented fragrance I’ve ever tried is Sweet Craving from Victoria’s Secret. It pairs warm vanilla and tempting praline. Yum!

In fact, I loved it so much that, when I ran out of my large sample, I bought the full size off of ebay (because it was only out for a limited time and VS doesn’t sell it anymore.)

For being such an eye shadow person, I’m surprised there are no eye shadows on this list.

  1. I so agree re the ELF eyeshadow brush. But how can I only pick four more? Let’s see… Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy cos it makes pigments adhere and so well and look so bold. Paula Begoun Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum for its anti-aging properties. L’Artisan Parfumeur Seville A L’Aube is the most beautiful perfume I’ve ever smelt. And Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit. That’s the best concealer I’ve ever tried so far.

  2. My Top 5 would be: Maybelline The Falsies waterproof mascara, Garnier Cleansing Oil, Naked 3 palette, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes and Moroccan Oil body oil. It’s so hard to pick just 5 though 🙂
