Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Unboxing Video

Time for a more in-depth review!

Beauty Box 5 September 2015: The BoxIn the September 2015 box, I got…

As I said in the video, the last few months of BB5 have been really increasing in value, and that’s still true here. Not counting the samples, this box is worth over $50. Nice!

Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass Lip + Cheek Stain

Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Review: Tints and SassWhen something’s called a “stain,” you expect it to, you know, stain. It should soak right into the skin and be very difficult to remove.

Yeah, this one didn’t follow those rules. If they had called this “lip + cheek color,” then I wouldn’t be so hard on it. It’s a good gloss, not a good stain.

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment

Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Review: Lemon RinseI was super confused by this stuff in the unboxing video. I mean, a clarifying treatment that you use after conditioner? That’s just weird.

I’m still a little confused by it, but I’ll tell you this: It didn’t dry out my hair, it didn’t strip it of color, and it smelled lovely. When I used it after my coconut shampoo and conditioner, my head smelled like some tropical drink.

I don’t hate it, although I’m still confused about its purpose.

Harvey Prince Sincerely Mini Roller

Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Review: Harvey Prince SincerelyRemember in the video how I thought this Harvey Prince perfume smelled so familiar? After I was done with the video, it came to mind that it smelled an awful lot like Harvey Prince’s other perfume, Journey. Well, it turns out…They’re the same thing!

That’s right, Sincerely is just Journey with a new name. No wonder it was so familiar.

So, you can see my in-depth review of the scent at my old Journey review.

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Snowflake

Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Review: Bellapierre Shimmer PowderYay! Makeup!

This shimmer powder is lovely. You can use just a little bit with a fluffy brush as a highlighter on cheek bones or use more with an eye shadow brush for a swath of bright white, shimmery shadow.

This is def my favorite thing in this month’s box.

Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Crayon

Beauty Box 5 September 2015 Review: Be a Bombshell Eye CrayonFinally, I got this eye crayon in “Angel Eyes,” a bright shimmery, pearly white.

As you saw in this video, there is almost no pigmentation. There’s shimmer for sure, but it rubs right off if you touch it lightly. This could be good for some inner-eye highlight, but that’s about it.

What did you think of this month’s box?

Let’s chat about it in the comments!
