Beauty Box 5 Review: March 2016
Guess what? My birthday was yesterday! I turned the big 33.
Another interesting thing that happened? I got this month’s BB5. Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service where you spend $12 a month and they send you a box of 5 full and sample beauty products.
Let’s check out the March 2016 box.
Beauty Box 5 March 2016
- Colour Me Sky Blue Perfume sample (full size $20)
- Mai Couture Blush & Highlighter Papiers sample (full size $15)
- Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum sample (full size $65)
- Glamour Dolls Glitter Liner worth $3.99
- Personail Nail Polish Wraps worth $12.99
- BB5 Custom Temporary Tattoo worth $2
That’s right, we got 6 things this month, when it’s normally 5. Granted, half of them were samples, but that’s still cool.
Colour Me Sky Blue Perfume
Mai Cosmetics Blush & Highlighter Papiers
Have you ever tried those oil blotting papers? These are just like those except they leave shimmery color behind. While I liked the shimmer, it was super subtle. In fact, it was so subtle that I couldn’t even do a swatch for you guys because it barely showed up in pictures.
Still, it would be cool to have these in an emergency makeup bag.
Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum
This is a teeny tiny sample. While I liked the way it felt–nice and moisturizing while not at all greasy–it isn’t enough product to test how well it actually works. On the plus side, it seems to be completely unscented.
Glamour Dolls Glitter Liner
I don’t necessarily want to relive those years…
Personail Floral Nail Polish Wraps
While I liked the design and the wraps stuck well to my nails, the actual strips didn’t totally fit my nails well. Still, I’ve had them on my nails for about 24 hours and I’ve already gotten compliments.
Custom Temporary Tattoo
What did you think of this month’s box? Despite it having an extra item, I felt lukewarm about most of the stuff inside.
