Today, I’m making an outfit to match the subtle, rusty smoke look from the Soft Rust makeup tutorial. Here’s a reminder of how it looked:

It’s shimmery and uses red and rusty pink and yellow colors. At first glance, you may expect that I was going to choose some jewel-ridden look full of girly frills. While that may be my usual M.O., that’s not what it is today.

I picture wearing this as I’m off to a friend’s house or a picnic at the park or a summer concert. It’s not summer yet (for us in the northern hemisphere) but I can dream, right?

Well, you don’t need to worry about. I’ve created an outfit that I think works very well with this look. Use it as inspiration for your own outfit (especially since most of it is hella expensive).

Although it’s pretty simple, it also has a vintage feel to it. So I wanted to create a sample outfit that matched the vibe of Simple and Clean.

It’s like the outfit walked out of a picture of a lady in the 1950s or 1960s. Heck, it could have been worn by Audrey Hepburn. Just look at those oversized glasses!

Today, I’ll be showing an outfit suggestion to match a makeup tutorial I did forever ago. It’s called Lemon Lime, and is a perfect look for spring. After all, it’s green!

Honestly, I would wear this in a second. The dress is super adorable. Granted, this is all very costly, but a girl can dream, right?

I imagine wearing all those Juicy Couture bracelets at once, on the same arm. And the bows can be worn one next to the other in your hair.

And the scarf is both for fashion and to keep you a bit warmer, since spring can be breezy.

Many months ago, I did a Rainbow Eyes makeup tutorial. It really has a spring feel to it. Here’s a picture to refresh your memory:

Now, I wanted to create an outfit to match this eye shadow look. Prove to you that it can actually match your look. I may have been a little ambitious. Have a look:

My whole point was an outfit celebrating spring. And, it uses the colors of the rainbow. I can imagine a gal wearing this to an outdoor spring concert series, or to sit on a park bench and drink an Orange Julius while people-watching.

Sure, it’s a little bright and gaudy, but a particularly stylish and brave lady could pull it off.

Today, I’m going to show you what you could wear with that makeup look.

I actually found this one really difficult.  I didn’t want to go too glamorous, and that was tough.

Here’s what Blueberry was like so you can see what I mean:

Yeah, pretty bright and out-there, right?  Because of that, I wanted to do an outfit that plays it all down a bit.  Of course, it’s still totally adorable.

Here’s what I came up with:

Nice, right?  I actually found a camisole that actually represented the makeup look really well.  I especially love those shoes.  Those Bermuda shorts are pretty adorable, too.

I chose to do a few of the accessories in yellow, since that’s purple’s complementary color.

Today, we’re going to match the Glacial Dust makeup look from one of my previous makeup tutorials.  This look utilized green and blue to make a shimmery masterpiece.  Check it out:

As you can see, this uses these colors to make almost a metallic look.  This is great for the summer when you want to look totally glam, yet appropriate for the weather.

Keeping all of this in mind, I constructed an outfit that I think works best for this look.:

Nice, huh?  It’s a super casual, yet utterly adorable look.  I chose capri jeans because they’re both relaxed and sexy (showing just a bit of leg).  I kept the color theme around similar greens and blues.  And check out those rad aviator glasses!

I have to be honest.  I would wear this outfit in a second.  I think it’s SO adorable.

If you were going to wear the Glacial Dust makeup look, what would you have worn?

The true essence of Umber Eyes is all about versatility.  It uses browns and golds to make a nice smoldering look that is appropriate for the office.

Because of this, today’s outfit to match this look is something you can wear to work.  Perfect for a board meeting, yet still as chic as can be.

First, let’s remember what Umber Eyes looked like:

This look used browns and golds to affect a simple look.  It even used brown eyeliner, which is something rare for me.

Now, onto the outfit that will match this makeup look:

As you can see, this incorporates the traditional pants suit with some nice touches.  I decided to go with brown slacks and a brown blazer.  The ruffled top is a shiny gold color to add a nice kick underneath the blazer.  The shoes and bracelets bring that gold further, while the earrings incorporate the brown.

Finally, I added some nerdy black glasses, so you can look especially smart while you’re giving that presentation about corporate economics (or something else equally important/boring).

Here’s a little reminder of what this looked like:

As you can see, this is a smoky, dramatic look when it comes to makeup. It has a touch of blue, but is mostly black and grey.

When picking out this outfit, I went for the obvious colors of black and a touch of blue. I also chose some gold accessories as an accent. I picture Steely Smoke Eyes as a makeup look for a classy night on the town. A minimal look with a whole lot of class and flair.

Cute, right? The shoes and bracelets feature gold to capture your attention. The rest of the outfit, including the dress, necklace and pillbox hat, are black with a hint of blue. I really couldn’t resist the pillbox hat.

Cute, huh? The argyle things on top are headbands. I chose the dress, cardigan and shoes to look sort of old fashioned. Hey, I like retro! Also, since it’s spring, there’s going to be a lot of rain, hence the umbrella.
