And that’s how I got inspired by the colorful, professional and beautiful looks at Nerdy Girl Makeup.

While, Wycee, the Nerdy Girl, provides awesome makeup tutorials and reviews, my favorite section is the “Looks Archive”.

While she mostly uses MAC eye shadows to create her looks, you can you still get a lot of inspiration and create the same looks if you have a similar color by a different brand.

I especially like the Bright Blue and Orange Look and the Colorful Makeup Look.

I know I’ll be trying a bunch of these out. After all, practice makes perfect!

But what do you do if you don’t have the time, and would rather do it online?

I stumbled upon a really nice website called Like.com.  They have a whole section devoted to health and beauty products.

What’s good about this is that they aggregate seemingly all health and beauty products from all sites so that you can look at them in one place.

They don’t sell anything there.  Rather, they give you a good way to find what you want, or to browse things you might want.

For instance, if I go to the main Health and Beauty section, there are category lists I can click on.

I’m in the market for facial cleanser, so I click on that heading.

Once I do, I see all sorts of facial cleansers on one page.  They include descriptions, prices, and a link to buy them.

Really, it’s just an easier way to find what you want, especially when you don’t yet know what that is.

That’s why I like Like.com.

That’s why I frequent The Beauty Bunny. This blog, written by Cailin and Amber, has great posts that can help you with darn near everything.

Confession: I love nearly everything vintage. The makeup, hair and outfits of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and so on, were GREAT.

Today I found an awesome website with a bunch of picture tutorials of different vintage hairstyles. Vintage hair! I was thrilled.

That’s the motto for Total Beauty. This isn’t a beauty blog. It’s more like a beauty website that has it’s own opinions. They also have a lot that members can do when they join. You can post your own beauty product reviews for one.

What I like most about this website is the way that they deliver their content. It’s not all just a bunch of words (which isn’t totally bad, mind you.) Instead, they have little presentations that give a pretty graphic element to what you’re viewing. I guess that’s perfect for a website on beauty!

They separate their content between Product Reviews, How-tos and Quick Tips, Total Body Television, and Samples and Contents. Here are some of my favorite articles on Total Beauty:

• “Oh-My-God-What-Is-That?” Skin Emergencies

So, go check out Total Beauty to get some really great advice about all things beauty.

Today, I’m talking to you about Temptalia. This blog is written by the masterful Christine. There are two kinds of posts that I absolutely love about this blog (and I wish I could steal.) On a daily basis, Christine will show us here ‘daily look.’ She shows us what makeup she’s worn that day and what she used to acheive the look.

Then there are the “Temptalia Asks You” posts. This is where she poses a question to her readers, such as “How does makeup affect your confidence?“. These posts give you a good idea of what other people are going through with their makeup.

As an added bonus, Temptalia also has forums. Here, you can talk about various aspects of makeup. They also have a fun part of the forum for talking about pretty much everything else.
