A makeup tutorial inspired by America's favorite undead: the zombie! Get a glamorous eye shadow look that just screams of rotting flesh.

You probably heard about how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) came out with a real guide to survival during a zombie apocalypse. How cool are they?

Truth is, zombies are becoming a part of every day life. Can you blame them? After all, they seek brains almost as fervently as a nerd looking for love.

With all this zombie talk, I just couldn’t help myself. I had to create a makeup look inspired by zombies. No, I won’t help you look like this:

(FYI, that’s from the original Dawn of the Dead by George A. Romero, king of the zombies. Zombies + Shopping Mall = WIN)

I’m not going to show you how to look like a zombie. You can find that all over the Internet. But I will show you how to do your makeup with the same darkness as a zombie, with colors inspired by their rotting flesh.

Yay!

Time to get started.

Start with a good primer all over your eyelid, and under your eyes as well. I used the primer from the NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact.

Next, put a greyish green eye shadow on your lid from the lash line to above the crease like shown above. Also, put it along your lower lid, just below the lash line. Pick a color that reminds you of the rotted, green flesh of the undead. I used Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Mildew.

Time to get dark, just like the sunken eyes of a zombie. Use a black eye shadow in the crease and outside corner of your eye, follow the outline you made with the first eye shadow and blend the colors together. I used Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Oil Slick.

See, zombies aren’t all clean and crisp. They’re actually pretty disheveled.

Add some whitish grey to blend up the edges of your shadow. I used the Revlon Matte Eye Shadow in Vintage Lace, which is a light beige that’s a few shades lighter than my skin.

Blend this under the eyebrow and in the inside corner of the eye.

Finish up the eye with super dark eyeliner and mascara. Line all around the eye including the lower waterline. Use mascara on both the top and bottom lashes. I used the Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Ebony Black and Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara Jet Black’>Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black.

Now, you’re probably going to have a lot of fallout, so clean that up. Then, cover your face in super light translucent powder.

Don’t use blush. Don’t use bronzer. What with the lack of blood flow, zombies can’t blush. It’s a proven fact.

Also, if you like to fill in your eyebrows, go a shade darker than normal. Trust me.

Nice, huh? A zombie-inspired makeup look that’s still super glamorous.

“Braaaains…”

But wait…are you inspired by a shambling, walking dead that can barely lift its arms, let alone attack someone? If so, leave your lips bare.

But if you’re inspired by the zombie that finds human flesh, especially brains, a delicacy, paint up your lips in the bloodiest red lipstick you can find. I used Luzier lipstick in True Red and Merry Cherry.

Blood red lips? Totally like a bloody-mouthed zombie. You see the correlation, right?

Oh, the horror!

Own the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box? Then check out this makeup tutorial to create a nice green eye shadow look.

Last week I showed you how to make a smoky and subtle purple eye using only eye shadow from the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box.

This week, using the same eye shadow pallet as before (and pictured above), I’m going to show you how to do a mossy green/blue eye. This will use the Mildew, Shattered, Maui Wowie and Sin colors from the Urban Decay palette.

You won’t need any other brand of eye shadow.

So, let’s begin.

As always, you’ll want to start by priming your face. Normally I would at least use some translucent powder. Today: nothing. I didn’t do anything to my face, other than some moisturizer this morning. It may be different for you, though, so check out Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

Last week I used Sin as a primer over the entire lid. Not this time. I just start right out with the good stuff.

First, I used the Mildew shadow on the outer half of my eyelid. Starting from the outer corner of the eye, I used this metallic green eye shadow all the way to right in the middle of the lid.

Next, I used Shattered, a blue metallic shadow. I started about a centimeter from the inside corner of the eye and blended it right into the green shadow from the previous step. Don’t blend all of the Mildew away, but about half of it.

Now it’s time for Maui Wowie. This is a slightly glittery beige color. I used this at the inside corner of the eye and blended it into the Shattered color a bit. I also used it to highlight the brow bone by placing it just under the arch of my eyebrow, as you can see in the picture above.

Almost done. I used Sin, a light beige metallic shadow, just above the green and blue to soften the edges and to make the look more cohesive. It fills the gap between the shadow on the lid and the highlight on the brow bone.

Now that we’re done with eye shadow, we need to finish off the look with eyeliner and mascara.

It really makes a difference, doesn’t it?

I used:

L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Carbon Black. I lined the top lid, very thin, and the bottom lid only on the water line.

Lancome Fatale Exceptional Volume Sculpting 3D Mascara in Black. I used this for the top and bottom lashes.

If you want to throw on some lipstick, go right ahead. Here’s what I used:

Luzier Lipstick in Chilled Burgundy.

And we’re done! Now it’s time to admire the overall beauty of this mossy makeup tutorial:

Done! Very pretty, in my book.

Stay tuned to Makeup Files because I’ll be having at least one more makeup tutorial using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Ammo Shadow Box.

Well, I always live up to a promise.

Today I’ll be using MAC eye shadow and lip gloss (along with some other brands) to get a great summer look. I call this Tropical Storm because it uses tropical colors (blue, green, yellow.) It’s also stormy and smoky.

This is a pretty heavy look, using a lot of color. Because of this, you may want to limit it to special occasions. For instance, it would look nice at some club after a long day at the beach.

Although, if you’re like me, you may want to wear it any ol’ time. I really do like wearing a lot of makeup.

Get ready for the Tropical Storm makeup tutorial!

First, you must have an unmadeup face. After all, it’s going to look weird if you add on this look over your regular daily makeup.

Oh how I love to not wear makeup. (I don’t really mean that.)

Before you start on this tutorial, and after you’ve cleaned your face, you’ll want to put on any concealer, foundation or powder. Since it’s summer (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway), you may want to forego any heavy foundation. To learn more, read this: Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

Then, you will need to gather your supplies.

As usual, you are more than welcome to substitute wherever you can. You don’t need to use the products that I use. You can usually get about the same look with something similar in a different brand.

Here’s what I used:

MAC Eye Shadow in Submarine

It may look like a lot, but it’s not, I swear. Just like I promised, this makeup tutorial uses a lot of MAC.

The very first step uses the Submarine eye shadow. This is a bright blue frost color. Using a medium eye shadow brush, from the outer corner of your eye up and across your crease. It should be darkest and most saturated at the outside corner as it fades inward. Check out the picture to get a good idea of what I’m talking about.

Next, grab the Newly Minted eye shadow. This is a bright, matte green. Sweep this over about 3/4 of your lid from the outside corner working inward. Blend this in with the Submarine blue so that they join together seamlessly.

You should also do a strip of this Newly Minted green color on your lower lid as well. This is going to look sort of like an eye liner. I used a stiff natural bristle brush with an angled head. You can see it in the equipment picture (it’s the brush with the white handle.) Make sure you use a good brush or you may make the line too thick.

Now it’s on to Chrome Yellow, which is matte. Starting at the inside corner, work this over the lid up to the crease. Blend it in a bit with the green and blue. You may need to apply the yellow several times for it to look right.

Like you did with the Newly Minted green, line the bottom lid, underneath the lashes with the Chrome Yellow eye shadow. Instead of going across the entire bottom lid, start at the inside corner and go across to only about halfway.

For eyeliner, I used Loreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Black. I lined just the bottom lid, on the inside of the lash line only. No lining the top lid today. This look is already harsh enough without it.

And, of course, mascara. I used Loreal FeatherLash Water-Resistant Mascara in Black on the top and bottom lashes. Beautiful, right?

For the lips, I used MAC Lustreglass in Ornamental. This is a super shiny and shimmery lip gloss that’s tinted a light brown color. Very cute. Smells kind of like chocolate, too!

Well, that’s it. That wasn’t too hard. And for only having these MAC eye shadows for about six days, I think I did a good job.

Here’s the after pictures:

See how the blue sort of adds a smoky eyes look to this? I love me some green and yellow, too.

So ends the Tropical Storm makeup tutorial. I hope you liked it!

Makeup tutorial using green eye shadow and yellow eye shadow, giving a lemon lime look. Pictures galore!

Mmm, I just love lemon lime. Whether it’s a food or drink, it nearly always tastes good. What a great flavor combination! Since it can be so good for flavors, why not for makeup, too? Sure, we won’t be tasting this look, but it can still look as fresh and bright as lemon lime.

I was actually inspired to do this look today because I’m wearing a green shirt. You’ll see that in the end, the green on my eyes doesn’t really match the green on my shirt.

Oops! Oh well, you can’t always help what the end result is once you use your inspiration. Right?

Get ready, because we are so about to learn the Lemon Lime Look.

Follow these steps and you should come out with a similar makeup look.

First thing’s first. We always, always, start with a naked, pre-makeup face:

I don’t look very happy. I think it’s because I prefer to be wearing makeup. Don’t worry, past Trisha. You’ll have makeup on soon enough.

Before anything else, you need to get your face ready. I used translucent powder. No foundation for me today. If you want to learn more about this step, check out a previous post: Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

Then, it’s time to gather all of your tools:

This is what I used today. You can get away with using other, similar makeup just as long as you choose colors that go along with what I use.

Here’s a list of all the beauty products used in this makeup tutorial:

Cupcake Cult Eye Primer

Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Pallet

N.Y.C. Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black

Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black

Almay Hydracolor Lipstick in #545 Pink Pearl

Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Lemon Splash

That’s all! On to the first step:

First, I used eye primer on my lid. I used Cupcake Cult Eye Primer over my entire lid, as well as my lower lid just under the lash line. Basically, you should put this anywhere that you plan on putting eye shadow.

I used this because it gives more vibrant colors, sort of a harsh look. Since this is all about Lemon Lime, it was important to make this look bright.

Then, onto the shadow:

Here’s all of the colors I used from the Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Pallet. I’ve numbered them based on the general order that I use them in this makeup tutorial. Since the colors don’t actually have a name, I’ll refer to them by number.

I’ve used Color #1 at the outer corner of my eye. This is a dark, lime green. It should resemble the kind of green you see on St. Patrick’s Day and on shamrocks.

Next, it’s Color #2. This is even more lime in color, and a bit lighter than the first. Blend this into the first color and move it out to cover around 1/3 of the lid, as shown. If you’re having trouble blending, make sure that you’re using a medium shadow brush, instead of a sponge applicator. I promise it works better.

Here’s the third color, Color #3. This is sort of a yellow/green, of course in the lime family of colors. Blend this in with everything you’ve done, even into the first color. This will soften everything up so that it doesn’t look so harsh. Make sure to bring this color across about 1/2 of your eyelid.

Now we start getting into the yellow, Color #4. This is a bright yellow that can really pop. As you can see, I not only blended this in with the last color, but I also put it along the top of everything, just below the eyebrows. This softens the lines some more.

Then I added a paler yellow, Color #5, to the inside corner of my eye and out into the previous color.

Before I move on to the next color, we’re going to go back in time a little (mostly because I forgot.) Grab the third color, Color #3, and bring it just under your lash line on your bottom lid. You should sweep this from the outside corner and in about halfway.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming. Here, I added Color #6, an almost white color, to just below my eyebrows, on the brow bone. This adds highlight to the look, making it look brighter.

Super Makeup Trick: Alarmed by the overwhelming brightness of the look? You can soften up what you just did by swirling a clean round brush over your lid. This will wipe away excess shadow and it won’t be so bright and noticeable.

We’re done with the shadow. Now it’s all about the finishing touches.

I used liquid eyeliner for this look, bringing it from the outer corner of my eye, across and just before the inside corner of my eye. I used N.Y.C. Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black. If you want to learn more about using liquid eyeliner: How to Use Liquid Eyeliner.

And here we have some mascara. I used it on both the top and bottom lashes. Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black was my mascara of choice.

Now, onto the lips:

Since my eyes are so bright, I didn’t want to draw too much attention to my lips or that would just be too much. Instead, I’m using a subtle color effect, and also bring the Lemon Lime theme to this area of the face as well.

First, I used Almay Hydracolor Lipstick in #545 Pink Pearl. This is a soft pink, opalescent color. Then, I used Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Lemon Splash. After some blotting and reapplying, I got a good mixture of both.

We’re done. After all that, I ended up with a pretty great Lemon Lime Look. Check it out:

See? It doesn’t really match my shirt in the end. Oh well! Now that I have this look in my aresenal, I can use it again when I’m actually wearing something that would go along with it.

What did you think of the Lemon Lime Look?

A makeup tutorial using a rainbow of eye shadow colors. Also uses blue eyeliner and yellow eyeliner.

I don’t always like to play it safe. In fact, I like to go crazy sometimes. Many people would avoid the look I’m going to teach you today, but whatever. I think it’s cute!

I think about the fact that I have nearly every color in the rainbow when it comes to eye shadow, so why not have a look that is…well…a rainbow?

So, that’s exactly what I’m doing. Be prepared for Rainbow Eyes! This is the most colorful makeup look I’ve ever done. And you’ll get to see how I did it here.

Buckle up, because this is going to be fun.

Before you do anything else, you should start with a completely empty, naked face, as shown:

Beautiful, right? So makeupless and pure. Let’s see how I clean up, shall we?

Before you break out the eye shadow, it’s time to get your face ready. This often involves foundation, powder and the like. If you want a good idea of the process, you can read up on it in a previous post: Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

After that, you should gather up your supplies for the Rainbow Eyes makeup tutorial.

This is all that I used, numbered for your convenience. If you don’t have the exact product that I do, you should be able to achieve this look with something similar.

Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Pallet

Revlon Diamond Lust in Champagne Buzz

Jordana Easyliner for Eyes Retractable Pencil in Bliss

Cover Girl CG Eyeslicks in Glistening Gold

Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black

L’Oreal HiP Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Dreamer

Now that you have all of that settled, you should start with your eye shadow. Since I’m using such a huge pallet, I took pictures of each color and made an easy to understand chart:

These shadows are all from the Elite Pro Cosmetics 88 Eye Shadow Pallet. I used the classic Roy G Biv rainbow colors technique here, minus a step (Indigo). Except I’m doing it backward. You’ll understand in the next step. These are the colors in order:

Violet

Blue

Green

Yellow

Orange

Red

So, I started with violet at the outer corner of my eye. Here’s the rainbow progression:

It makes so much sense when you see it all in line like that. As you can see, I started at the outer corner and worked my way in. When you’re applying the eye shadow, make sure that you’re blending it in with the previous color as well, although not too much as we want the color progression to be obvious.

I used an eye shadow brush, like always.

Although I have the full rainbow now, I’m not done with eye shadow, I have one more step.

I used Revlon Diamond Lust in Champagne Buzz, a bright, shimmery shadow, and covered my whole lid. This softens the look. This way, I don’t look like I just stepped out of a nightclub. It is the middle of the day after all.

Now that you’re done with shadow, it’s on to eyeliner.

The first eyeliner I’m using is a bright blue eyeliner, Jordana Easyliner for Eyes Retractable Pencil in Bliss. This was really inexpensive at the drugstore. The blue is supposed to signify the sky surrounding a rainbow, but it really is just used because it’s pretty.

But we’re not done.

I then used a fat, yellow liner on the bottom lid. I used Cover Girl CG Eyeslicks in Glistening Gold both above and below the lower lashes. It really brightens up the eye and the whole look in general.

No black eyeliner today!

For a finishing touch to the eyes, mascara is necessary. I used Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black on both the top and bottom lashes.

(For some reason I can never get the color in my lips pictures to match the eyes. Grrr.)

I got some new lip gloss yesterday that I had to try. So, today I used L’Oreal HiP Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in Dreamer on my lips. It’s pretty nice. Perhaps I’ll do a review soon.

We’re done! Rainbows aplenty with this makeup tutorial. Check out the after photos:

Pretty right? I showed my mom and she said that while I was masterful in my execution (I’m paraphrasing here) she would never wear it. I guess having rainbow makeup isn’t for everyone. It is for me, though.

How do you like Rainbow Eyes? Is it too bold for you, or just right? Now bold enough?

Green and Blue eye shadow makeup tutorial called Glacial Dust. Uses eye shadow and eyeliner.

I had two inspirations for today’s makeup tutorial. First, the inspiration for the name. If you’ve ever seen waters surrounding a glacier, you’ll know that it can be a really bright blue-green color. It’s amazing, like something you would see at the best ocean beaches in the world. At Glacier National Park in Montana, US, they have these waters. The water turns this color because of ‘glacial dust.’ This was the inspiration for the name of this look, as well as the general color scheme.

I also got inspiration for this look from Christine over at Temptalia. She uses MAC to get some amazing eye makeup looks, and lately she’s been doing makeup similar to what I’m going to do here.

The biggest difference is that I won’t be using MAC. Not that I don’t like it or anything. I just want to show that you can do very similar makeup techniques with many different makeup brands.

So, Read on to learn how to do this Glacial Dust makeup technique featuring blue and green shades of eye shadow.

Just like always, you need to start with a clean and un-makeup’d face.

At some point I’m going to get sick of showing you my unmakeup’d face. Seriously.

Before you move on to any other steps, you need to get your face ready. This is different for everyone, but usually includes facial lotion, foundation, and translucent powder. To learn more, read up on this at one of my previous how-tos: Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

Now it’s time to get all of your materials ready. This is what I used for this blue and green eye shadow tutorial:

If you click on the picture, you can see everything close up. This is what I used, in order:

Cupcake Cult Eye Primer

Several Shades of Luzier Eye Shadow (detailed list below)

L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner in Black

Mary Kay MK Signature Waterproof Mascara in Black

Almay Hydracolor Lipstick in #545 Pink Pearl

Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Lemon Splash

On to the tutorial!

Up until now, I haven’t used eye primer in any of my tutorials. Primer has two different uses. First, it helps smooth out your makeup so that it doesn’t crease over time. Second, it creates more vibrant colors. This is why I used it. Normally I like my eye shadow to be soft, but not this time. I wanted it to really stand out.

I used this creamy eye primer by Cupcake Cult with my fingers. I covered it on my lid wherever I planned to put shadow. You can’t really see it, or I’d put up a picture.

These are the shadows I used. Good luck finding them. Although they are by Luzier, who sells their makeup online, they don’t carry these colors anymore. Just for posterity, these are the colors in order of use:

#1947 Antique Blue

#1922 Pacific

#1936 Honey

Use the first, blue eye shadow. This blue is very shimmery. In fact, all the shadows are ultra shimmery for this makeup tutorial. You want to be bright and shiny for this.

As you can see in this closed view, you should apply the first blue shadow to the eye in an arch in the crease. Start at the outer corner and work up and around like in the picture. I implore you to use an eye shadow brush instead of sponge applicator. As I detailed in Battle of the Makeup Applicators: Powder, Eye Shadow, Blush, it is just a better makeup brush to use.

The next color is green:

Here’s the open view. You should put this green eye shadow on the empty space in the middle of your lid. You should also blend it into the blue so that they look…well..blended.

This is what it looks like when the eye is closed. You can see that the green on the main part of the lid melts in with the blue in the crease and outer corner. It’s looking more and more like Glacial Dust every step.

On to the next step:

The yellow shadow is used as a highlighter. It is also used in order to soften up the previous colors.

Check out the closed view:

Sweep this pale yellow from the inside corner of your eye and along the lash line about an inch. This will brighten up your eye significantly. You should also sweep it just below your eyebrows and into that blue shadow. This will soften the line so that the makeup doesn’t look so gaudy and harsh.

Eyeliner! For something a little different, I put the black eye liner only on the lower eyelid, above the lashes. This gives the eye a bit of an interesting pop. I used Loreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner.

And here’s the eye with mascara. The finished eye. Mascara both the top and bottom lashes. It’ll look better. I used Mary Kay MK Signature® Waterproof Mascara in Black.

You’re not done, though. Don’t forget the lips.

Since I was doing something pretty bold for the eyes, I wanted something soft for the lips. I used Almay Hydracolor Lipstick in #545 Pink Pearl. This is a pretty pale pink with a bit of shimmer. I then topped it with Cover Girl Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers in Lemon Splash to make it glossy and smooth.

Done! That’s it! A classy professional makeup tutorial in only a few steps. Check out the after photos:

Frankly, I was proud of myself with this look. It’s different from what I normally do. I’d say I did a good job trying to match the looks that people get with MAC cosmetics.

If you try this, let me know. I want to see a picture!

Today is Tuesday, and you know what that means: a new makeup tutorial! Today, I’m going to show you how to accomplish Watermelon Eyes. When I think of watermelons, besides how much I hate the way they taste, I think of the colors pink and green. With this eye makeup tutorial, you’ll end up with a bright green and pink eyeshadow look.

Watermelon Eyes is intended to be bright and clean. It’s a look perfect for spring. It’s also great for both day and night.

First, you start with a naked face, just as always:

Before you continue, be sure to set up your face right! You need such things as face lotion and translucent powder. To learn more, visit a previous post: Priming the Canvas: Getting Your Face Ready for Makeup.

Once you’re ready, you’ll need to gather all of your materials. This is what I used:

I’ll explain each item as we go along through the makeup tutorial.

First, we must start with the eye shadow:

Like in a previous tutorial, Sunrise Eyes, I am using an 88 color eye shadow pallet from Elite Pro Cosmetics. You can use whatever you want just as long as you attempt to match the colors that I use. The first color is a deep, dark pink.

Apply the deep pink eye shadow to the outer corner of your eye. Near the lash line, it should come in about one third of the way, but angle out sharply so that there is just a small triangle of color, as you see above. Also sweep this color onto your lower lid, deeper at the outer corner and fading inward about one third of the way.

Onto the next color!

The next color is a lighter, shimmery pink shadow. This is more of a delicate, pastel pink.

Blend in this new pink color as shown above. It should make it about halfway across your upper lid. Also blend it in with the first color a bit so that there is a seamless transition between the two colors of eyeshadow. As you can see, I’m applying the color a ways above my crease, but not up to the eyebrow. After all, I don’t want to look like a Barbie Doll from the 80s!

And now, for the third color:

Here’s the rind of the watermelon! I chose a lighter and slightly shimmery green color. It’s less lime and more army green, although still very light.

Apply to the lid in this way:

Although the rind of a watermelon is normally on the outside (always, actually), you’ll be putting the green on the inside. Starting from the inside corner of your eye, sweep the green shadow across the lid and toward the pink shadow from the last step. You should overlap the colors a bit. This won’t create a seamless transition since green and pink are so different, but it will soften the look up a bit.

You’re not done! There’s one more eyeshadow trick left:

Next, you should use some highlighting shadow. You could use a product that’s labeled as ‘highlighter’, but that’s not necessary. Just pick up some regular eye shadow that just happens to be light and ultra-shimmery. I used Revlon Diamond Lust in Champagne Buzz.

As you can kind of see above, you should apply the shimmery shadow to the inside corner of your eye, and just below your eyebrows. This will highlight your features and give you a brighter look all around. You’ll definitely look more awake.

You’re done with shadow, but not done with the rest of the look.

Now time for eyeliner! Black is best for this look. Create a line that is thicker at the outer corner and thinner as you go inside. This line should be pretty thin in general. Since Watermelon Eyes is more of a soft, pretty look, avoid lining your lower lid. I used Loreal Pencil Perfect Eyeliner, which I reviewed last week.

Don’t forget about mascara! I once finished my makeup and thought, ‘this doesn’t look right.’ It turns out, I forgot mascara. It can really make a difference!

Although I used black mascara, you can use brown if you prefer that. I applied the mascara to both the top and bottom lashes because, well, it looks better. I used Maybelline Define-A-Lash Volume Mascara.

Yes, I wear blush. Today, I used Revlon Golden Affair in Rose Rapture, applying it with a medium, soft round brush. I swept it from the ball of the cheek, up toward the temple. Using a lighter, brighter color of blush is best for this makeup technique.

Finally, the lips:

A light, shimmery pink lipstick or lip gloss is best for Watermelon Eyes. I used Prestige PL-45A: Desire, and blotted with a tissue, repeatedly!

All done! You should now be as pretty as you can get with green and pink eyeshadow. Do your eyes look like watermelons? Mine do:

What do you think? Does it make you think of watermelons?

I hope you liked this makeup tutorial! Next week: Steely Smoke Eyes.
